Excitement reaching fever pitch for a League 2 third place decider! I cant get a ticket for my friend. Can see both winning although heart says Wycombe will slip up and Harrold bangs in a 90th minute stonker cueing pitch invasion :afro:

And i swear Coughlan never even plays for Southend anymore?LOL

Lets hope justice is done and Town do get promoted today. Somehow though as our luck this season has not been good expect it to be the lottery of the playoffs. Like many others I still feel really p*****D off re the goal that never was. If it was'nt for that we would now be home and dry and Wycombe would be in playoffs.

People forget in the same game the goal that was called offside that should have been allowed too.

Osama Bin Laden has just broadcast a public message on Al Jazira TV to prove he is still alive...
He says "Wycombe Wanderers were s*** on Saturday". However, intelligence sources have dismissed it saying he could have recorded it anytime in the last 5 years.

I see Colu Mike has resorted to praying that we don't get promoted. We all know why that is.

I thank you. We are better than you. we deserve to go up as over the season we've been better than everyone else apart from Bury and Chesterfield, and the Ainsworth/non-goal incident is irrelevant, we've had lots of decisions not go our way and penalties not given to us and so on and so forth, it all evens up over the season. At the end of the day, we are better than you. Floreat Salopia. Good luck in the play offs.

ColUMike, here we come. in your face ha ha.

How I wish I had thought of that one. We could have saved it for Colchester. Still chuckling.

to answer the question, er no. prove me wrong shrews and change that ruddy awful lenny the lion badge. shrews will never win anything with that ruddy awful badge. the ancient borough's motif is 3 loggerheads and a floreat salopia. roland wycherley, chairman are you listening. you can have the best manager and squad in the league, but town will not win anything with that ruddy awful badge. where ,i ask the directors, is their pride in such a great club. floreat salopia? ha!!

Thanks Jock, for your charmless contribution. I congratulate the more generous Wycombe contributors (such as Rocky & Ron). Since you insist on bringing up the topic though, everyone has had lots of decisions go against them (3 penalties all season for the Shrews, thanks very much) and neither you nor I know whether these things have really evened out over the season. What we do both know is that, in the recent game between us, you had the benefit of a wrong (not dubious, just wrong) decision without which we'd now have a 2 point lead over you. We haven't, because of incompetent officials, and I can't see how that has evened up over the season.

So yes, you're promoted and congrats to Wycombe for finishing well. But better than us? I don't think so. The crucial difference was the worst piece of officiating of this and many other seasons. But anyway, we're not finished yet.

Hit the nail on the head shrewd!

Oxford were such a fickle bunch that they gloated when their ARCH RIVALS scored to go up instead of us <whistle>

According to Southend support today, Wycombe were the recipients of more questionable decisions. Their equalising goal should have been ruled offside. Southend had a clear cut penalty refused and with one of their forwards having a clear run on goal the ref refused to play advantage and brought play back to award Southend a free kick.

It is all very well to wish us good luck in the play-offs etc but you know full well that Wycombe were allowed to get away with "blue murder". I cannot think of a much greater injustice in many years of watching football.

KDS, none of that is true in any way whatsoever. There is no way in hell, having watched the goals back on the Football League Show, that our first goal was offside, and i honestly have no idea when this 'clear cut penalty' incident occurred, same with the clear run on goal. After the first 15 minutes, they had nothing but wasted crosses and long range efforts! We were the better side today, and if anything, we were on the wrong end of some shocking decisions! Rendell was elbowed in the face, as was Bull, and the constant diving from their number 6 was utterly disgraceful, cue the chants of 'cheat' and 'twat' whenever he lost the ball. Can also remember Donnelly and Betsy being hacked down a couple of times, yet only one yellow was given, they could easily have had a couple of players sent off!

Unlucky on not getting promoted though, maybe we'll see you up in League 1 next season. All the best for the playoffs.
