Sandown 1.45 Taquin Du Seuil Has made a good start to his hurdling career. After winning as he pleased first time at Uttoxeter, he finished 2nd giving 5lbs to highly fancied Henderson/McManus debutant My Tent Or Yours at Ascot a month ago. If he goes on the ground - and they all have to do that - he must have a decent chance of continuing his progress here.

Good morning chaps

Going for 1.10 Sandown - Sustainability 3/1. Venetia Williams to chalk uo another winner here, nice reappearance against a race fit opponent.

1.45 Sandown - Le Bec 15/2. Won really impressively first time up without hurdling very well, hopefully had plenty of schooling and could be one to keep an eye on. Stable form a little bit of a concern, but won first time up with the yard not firing, chance taken he could be a useful sort.

2.20 Sandown - Grove Pride 9/2. Henry Daly's charge was very impressive on his chasing debut beating some well regarded types. Thrown in at the deep end here but must be showing something at home, getting weight all around. Trip and ground not a problem.

Good luck all <cheers>

Hoping Sanctuaire can serve it up to Sprinter Sacre tomorrow and we get a cracking race.

Nah. As someone on the old 606 used to say (Shergar I think): "Now is the time to bet like men". Miss that fella sometimes. Gutted if Hendo pulls him out though, but reading Sp Life yesterday he seemed to be saying SS runs whatever the ground as he only has 3 targets this year - Tingle Creek, Victor Chandler and Champion Chase.

You have an odd bedfellow (or should I say Hundezwingerfreund?) in SA, who seems to think SS is a reincarnation of, erm, forgotten the horse's name for the moment.......Good night, and have a successful day!.......

(Snowing on and off down 'ere).

Morning all - got a small patet, the detals of which i won't bore you with running today but also one main bet. Dashing George in the 2-55 lat Sandown looks a stand out for me. Course and distance winner here in February before getting injured and has showed promise since coming back this season. Dr Newlands lkes races like this so I've had a speculative punt

How's the hibernation going Swanny? Cold as feck up here (-8 early this morning) and about 3 inches of snow. Will stay below freezing for the foreseeable so the bike stays in the cellar :(

Overturn doesn't go to Sandown tomorrow.

Not so much snow, Oddy, but temperatures only just a bit warmer (-4°C). Oh well, doesn't last for ever thank God! Could be in for a rough old Winter though?

They're predicting next week to be the coldest one in 20 years over here Swanny (-15 in places and colder than the North pole) so you mightn't even have any racing to keep you warm <yikes>

This opener at Sandown is a trappy affair. It would take a really good performance from either of the top 2 to win at the weights, but on breeding I'm going with the Nicholls horse - he is stoutly bred by Dom Alco, whose offspring usually like some cut

He is a right bull of a horse, one for my notebook when he goes chasing

I agree re Dashing George and if 5s or bigger could be a real good EW opportunity.

Good old Arbor Supreme wins the marathon. No one can deny he was very well handicapped on previous form<whistle><laugh>
