There's a saying: "You are only as good as your last game". Ramsey today played in his favourred position and did well - better finishing would have got the goals we needed, but I thought he showed more skill and invention than some of the other players.I hope that his confidence is returning and that we will see a more consistent display from him. There are many players in this squad that can be said to be under-performing that dont get half the stick that this lad gets. It seems that certain Arsenal "fans" have got it in for him amd will not be happy until he has been hounded out of the club. Pretty sad really - but I guess we are all entitled to voice our opinions.

You are seriously deluded if you think Ramsey will become anything but a mediocre player. He's as much use as a one-legged man in an arse kicking competition.

I agree, Ramsey been woeful just like The rest of the Arsenal team, but what can be said of Mr Wenger?
I was one person who always back Wenger as a great manager but there comes a time when you have to
be realistic, only the truth shall set you free. I can remember when Arsenal lost or drew games but I could
contend with that, because the quality of play was so mesmerizing, it was more than enough to make you optimistic.
The build up play was great. We were like poetry in motion, those subtle touches makes us the talk of football
before the emergence of this great Barcelona team. Now all this is gone, not just because of the player we have
but because of a manger who no Longer have great insight into the game.
Arsenal no longer play with any identity. I can no longer boast to friends that we have not won anything, but we are
the most enjoyable team to watch in the EPl. We now perform like mid-table contenders. The lesser teams no longer fear
us because we always have useless possession of the ball. I really miss Rocisky because as one of the old guard, when fit
he is the only one that will make in roads into opponent half. I must say to wenger we are no longer improving, and with what
I am seeing the financial fair player wont favor us if we continue to play like this.

I think very few people still believe Ramsey will make it at Arsenal, and that says it all really. You can be harsh or kind, either way, he's not going to be good enough.

For that reason I think it's a waste to be playing him when we could be giving Eisfeld or Gnabry a chance. Coquelin still has a chance to succeed, although his performances have been poor, and time is running out. All of these players deserve chances over Ramsey.

    lol.

Even among a sea of stupid over-reactionary posts you always manage to come to the dumbest conclusions in this board.

Giroud wasn't served **** and still managed to look good.

No Koscielny hate to go along?

The "time is running out" bit is in reference to Coquelin, who really needs to reach his potential soon or he'll be another failed player imo.

Ramsey still has time to develop into an attacking mid but I've seen enough of him to know he won't do it.

Amazing how people see things differently - such is life.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here who express both sides of the opinion. My observation is that Ramsey has three fundamental weaknesses in his game right now; first he dithers on the ball which slows the attack down too much causes us to lose the moment. Second, a very high proportion of his passes are to the player under the most pressure, and often hus passing is just that little bit nehind or just that little bit too far forward, or just plain way off. Third, his awareness of the play and movement of players is not good enough, so he never sees that one single incisive pass that forwards can latch onto.

I do not know if these are things he can improve on. Physical skills can be improved with practice, but all the above suggest that weaknesses are in the mentality dept.

The other about RAmsey is that he has had 2 seasons in which he had been more or less an automatic choice and that should have yielded the imrpovements his supporters promise.

Wenger seems to have this thing about certain players - he will stick with them stubbornly. Gervinho is the same - the first two touches of that lad were his signature play of running the ball out of play.

Arshavin did OK when he came on - his crossing is far better than what went on before.

Giroud workled hard, showed some good touches but he hardly ever looked much of a threat. His job is to score goals.

Im not basing my theory off just one result. Rather the fact we play a very high line and a very attacking bsytem but are often toothless- this was our exact same problem back when RVP was out.

Sometimes I wonder if any of the people posting on here have ever played football.

If you have ever tried to play in those conditions then you will know what happened yesterday; 0-0 was not a surprise. Any goal was going to be because of a mistake, it was very difficult to generate any kind of pace on the ball, run or dribble effectively.

It is the sort of game that you look after your clean-sheet and hope for a bit of luck. It was a bit unfortunate that ours was the late game and we got the worst of the weather, but that is the way it goes. Conditions can be a great leveller.

As for the comments about Ramsey, really the same thing goes. I saw more missed passes from Cazorla than from Ramsey and overall I thought he was our best midfielder. In my opinion Cazorla should have been rested as well. In those sort of conditions his talents were wasted.
