Honestly the wing players were far worse today. Podolski, Gervihno, and Oxo. No servoce for Giroud at all.
Arshavin was good when he came on

If giving the ball away repeatedly and trying hollywood passes so bad they'd make Song proud is a good job, we have a very different definition of the term.

Wake up and smell the coffee, Ramsey is a championship player in a champions league team.

As PISKIE mentioned Arteta has had a lackluster few games, but no one is complaining. Maybe Coq should get a start against Swansea, he looked quality last season.

I can't be ****ed to get into this debate anymore, it's been done to death.

There are some on here who think he is the Devil incarnate, and some who think he makes a decent contribution and still has time to improve.

Other than that, the rest just seems to be endless bluster and guff

Arteta is essential to us even when he has an 'off' day. I'd say he is far more essential than Cazorla, as we can somehow compensate for him by playing with the formation.

On the other hand if we were to sub Arteta, we'd pretty much have to play Coq. **** THAT, no way.

I think Arteta completed his defensive duties competently, despite not being exceptional.

He got voted MOTM on Arsenal.com
Coq was quality lasts season, and he's been decent in his sub cameos. Besides Arteta needs a break.

Podolski looks like he is getting off scot free for that performance. He did nothing. Far worse than Ramsey.

I think the fact that everyone automatically assumes Podolski will be subbed first every time pretty much says enough about it.

Though not too bothered with it, he contributes defensively and doesn't need to play the whole 90 minutes to score.

But he did **** all today. You keep going on about having 9 players on the pitch (AOC and Ramsey) but fail to mention that Podolski was more ineffective than those two, especially compared to Ramsey in this game.

I like Ramsey, think he'll be a quality player.

It's upfront where we are lacking quality.

You can't succeed with an attacking system without a World Class centre forward.

Girouds good ...but not good enough.

Giroud isn't the problem, he was probably our best player today.

OK, i'll revise my statement. We did well with 8 (<ok>) players on the pitch.

Mertesacker was our best player but Giroud put a lot of effort in. Our best attacking player and the closest thing we had to a 'threat'.

Koscielny offered more going forward than the midfield
