    I know it's a bit random timing:

We all know Hull's defensive home tactics don't work (at home) and the last couple of games he's tried to sort it out by going attacking but he's trying to go too attacking but we're still defensive, if that make sense.

For example, against Crystal Palace we played 4-2-4 with Amoo, Fryatt, McLean and Simpson up top and with Koren and Harper CM and Rosenior out, the only supply was coming from Koren and it didn't work! On the point of bieng too defensive, every midfielder we have, with the occasional exception of Koren, their first movement is to turn back toward Hobbs and Gerrard therefore making chances harder to come by. Personally, I think our squad is equal ability to Norwich, but watching them on Monday, they look to go forward and don't take 3+ touches to see the pass.

And with the talk of City going for Play-offs and auto promotion, Nigel needs to sort this out in pre-season, along with a few signings.

    Rant over.

I do think, and hope, NP will get this sorted. But you can't just stick a load of strikers on and have no service and expect to score... It was no co-incendence we made chances when Belaid and Devitt came on and gave us some shape!

I think one of the reasons we're so toothless at home and don't attack very much is our midfield, it needs a change.

Next season though with the arrival of a couple of new midfielders we should see some more attacking football at home.

****ing hell, thats a tad harsh isn't it?! I come on these boards everyday (don't always have time to post, I usually check on my phone) and it's like every time he posts you ignore the argument and just slag him off. I've seen some of the stuff he has posted and yeah, ok, some of it I don't think is true (Phil Brown being our greatest ever manager. Er, no. Warren Joyce IMO) but other things I do agree with, like some of the ****ty home performances this season. Yes, we have come a long way, blah blah, but it's not an excuse for what happened against Boro, or Scunthorpe. I was angry on those days too, sat there wondering what the hell happened. The guy is only expressing his opinion. I don't agree with it, I believe that our midfield has got better since Evans, Stewart and Koren have come into it, certainly it's better than Ashbee, Garcia, Kilbane and Boateng.

I reckon Belaid can run a midfield if given the opportunity, he looks a class act. When Stewart is fit we will have one of the best midfields in the league, pending what the relegated teams do with their squads.

I'm sure NP is well aware of our shortcomings at home.

I think he probably still won't be as attacking as we'd like, but I do think we will be more attacking at home next season, he's no fool.

Once Stewart was out the team, we looked weaker going forward, I'm sure this will be addressed in the summer. We already know we're getting a new left back, I expect a new winger(at least until Stewart is available) and a new striker. Wait until next season before passing judgement on how we'll play at home.

To be fair Tommy, when a debate is in full flow, it is usually Twf'y that turns it into the argument!!

I agree OLM. I think what annoyed me the most about the home performances this season was the inconsistancy. We have played some really good games at the KC this season, but also some really bad ones. I do think we will get a new winger, if Cardiff don't go up, could we get Chopra? Or, if he is too like Fryatt, maybe Scott McDonald (he looked quite tall?)

Also, a lot of Leicester fans around here think we will go in for Bruno Berner. He's alright, probably about the same standard as Andy Dawson. Maybe if he is cheap, but Dudgeon I imagine is the preferred choice.

Wouldn't mind a RB cover, if Macca leaves and that's it for Nobby, then all we have is Rosenior. Cooper can play there but is untested and it doesn't look like Chester is comfortable in that position. Anybody remember Garcia at RB? Reckon he could be converted?

Fair enough, I just hate seeing personal arguments on a board meant for football! If I wanted an argument, I'd go down my local!

I don't give a **** TBH, all he does is come on article and have a dig at a player or one of the Pearsons, when there's no substance behind his argument - if he even offers a reason for whatever ****e he's just spouted.

So yes, he can still **** off and die and he is still a ****.

Hi, Tommy, hope you will still post on here.

If you look at the trail of the topic on this thread and take Twf'ys post on the debate, you will note that he post's a one liner, but, give's no reason for his stance, which I think most would find as argumentative. It's like, if one talks loud enough and repeats it often enough no one will question your logic, and finally will accept your point of view, but on here most will not put up with that, and react in the only way they know. Some will become aggressive, some will question, some will ignore, some will whole-heartedly agree, and, some will agree with parts of the statement, but will not question the rest of it in the fear of being ridiculed.
Some people have asked the Mods. to ban Twf'y, which I disagree with doing, and am glad of the stance the Mods. have taken in this case. Some think he is not even a fan of the Tigers, but I think he is, it just that he is like TonyM on the Fail site (i.e., the glass is half-empty!!)
Hope this explains some of the vitriol that he receives to you!

    ****s sake.

Here's my "reasoning", for the people who want it:

I'm not disputing Nigel is aware of our home problems, he clearly is, I don't think he's that bad of a manager. I'm saying that I'm honestly not sure if he's capable of fixing it, he's had one season in charge and our home performances have shown no real sign of improvement, he seems stuck in his ways and not capable of sending a team out to anything other than defend and counter attack (which only really works at home).

There you go, there's my reasoning, like I include in most posts tbh.

I think TWF is the one person we have on this board who isn't afraid to say something different to all the sheep spouting the same think week in week out and agreeing with everyone else on the board.

I don't agree at all with the NP, AP and NB hating and I think TWF knows himself that he only has to drop that into a thread to get a reaction, but some of the other things that he has said, and been called for have been spot on.

Bullard has shown he is by far and away the best player in the division, and despite the fact that nobody on this forum knows exactly what goes on behind closed doors, you can't really argue with TWF's argument that what we have been crying out for all season is the one player who we have on our books and are paying ridiculous sums of money to let him play for someone else. Where would we have been with JB's goals from midfield over the last few weeks?

Also, I don't how people can use the fact that we have come through the other side of the financial mess and finished in a respectable position, as a way to defend Nigel Pearson. It wasn't NP that ploughed 40 million into the club! TWF is right, the home form this year has been ****ing **** and in the 23 home games this season I think I can count the times I've been entertained on 1 hand. The same can be said for the times that NP has changed the game with plan B or plan C - losing 1-0 at home when the opposition scores so early and not being able to adapt our tactics to attack and win the game doesn't show signs of a manager who is able to change things for the better, especially as we've had a year to get it right.

To come on here and tell someone to **** off an die just because they dare to have a different opinion to you is an absolute ****ing disgrace!!
