OK but that's a one will never know argument. Some of us were delighted to see AVB ditch the caution and adopt the let's go for it option. I applaud him for showing flexibility that if he maintains will be very good for Spurs in the future and gives the lie to him being unable to adapt.

It look's like RDM has moved ahead in the manager's sack race,Hughes is still in charge at QPR after a 2 hour meeting, and all does not seem well at Stamford Bridge, with reports that RA is not happy with Chelsea's last few result's,and with Pep looking to return, that will add pressure.

How have they not sacked Hughes yet? They need to give the next man some time to actually sort it out. Mark Hughes has got to call it a day on management, surely?! Who's ever going to want him!? How that man has had the jobs he's had, I will never know.

Haven't QPR got to pay about 10-15 mill to sack him? Best money they'll ever spend!!

As for chelsea, It's about time they had a new boss. RDM's already had 8 months or so hasn't he?! <laugh>

Exactly this. And I'm not surprised that the anti-AVB crew find ways of criticising him for this, as much as they would have done if we'd try to hold on for a "face saving" 2-1 (which doesn't really fit into the "to dare is to do" motto does it!)

At City he'd bought a load of good players but couldn't make them into a team, similar to what he's done now. He did a crap job to be honest.

At QPR his problem is he's been allowed to buy in quality players but can't get them to all work together and players who are used to winning things in the past like Bosingwa, Julio Cesar, Park, etc start to get disinterested whilst players who aren't get in the side get frustrated at being shunted out by players who are doing a much worse job than they did last season. There's the squad morale and unity gone and it'll take a better manager than Hughes to turn it around. Especially since I suspect he's been trying out his own brand of hairdrier treatment which is only likely to make things worse.

Chelsea need help from an already qualified Shaktar......doesn't appear like it was a good idea starting without a recognised striker???

  13. Can I remind the more fickle among the Spurs fans on this board that I predicted that it was a race between Roy Rodgers and RDM as to whom would be the first to get sacked. After tonight's farcical performance, it must be the case that RDM will be gone by the New Year. if he is, will those sad Spurs fans who have doubted my words of wisdom regarding AVB bow down to me and do unto me an act of worship?

I will forgive every sinner who has doubted me.

    That is a promise.

Chelsea were definitely second best tonight. Juve out-hustled them, never allowed them any time on the ball, and kept the pressure on throughout. O.k there was some "robust" defending and the two goals were both fortunate deflections, but no doubt the best team won.

<laugh> Nobody cares who you originally said, it's not an achievement to guess the Chelsea managers sacking considering our owner is the most trigger happy in the premier league.

Also you calling anyone fickle is irony in it's purest form.

Yeah, typo. I know it was 3-0 but I was switching back & forth with the Utd game towards the end there. I did see the third goal, but that was always liable to happen with Chelsea chucking everybody forward.
