Chelsea are in danger of being the only CL winners to fail to qualify for the knock out stages. They will also drop into what they call the Europey league, and play on ITV 4 on Thursday nights. What comes around goes around!!

well it's official. RDM has been sacked.

I just don't understand what goes on in Abramovich's head. He spends 10's of millions on some of the worlds best talent. - Mata, Oscar and Hazard in particular, who are just class.

But he sacks managers on average about once a year.

Does the latter not completely counteract all the money being spent, giving the team no continuity or stability? he's done it 8 times or so. does that not tell him something about the impact of his own actions?

if someone could explain this, I'd appreciate it. I just don't get it.

Abramovich is a bit like some of our fans who want AVB out, the difference is, he has loads of money and owns a football team so he can do it. Simple as that.

He has this naive belief that if you are a good manager and you get given more resources than anyone else then you should win everything. I'm sure that is what he is promised in the interview as well......

He also suffers from one of he worst cases of megalomania that you're liable to see!.

At this rate they're going to be hiring managers based on their FM expertise...so as I've turned Spurs into a foce in little over a year, plus won an Olympic silver medal with Team GB, I should be quite far up the queue.

Meanwhile, why are the papers making out it was a "young" Man Utd team that lost last night? Buttner and Powell aside, their starting team had plenty of first team experience over the last couple of seasons.

I've no idea <whistle> why they made a big thing about the age of the team (that lost) either, it was the 3rd youngest side SAF's fielded in the CL....so what?? As you say it wasn't the youngest, so its a poor result by United standards, something they're trying to deflect I'd say!
