Yeah, I think it's a good move too. He desperately needs game time, and at his age it's not just fitness, he'll improve from it too. As said before, he's pretty far down the rankings at the moment, and Wessi's form at the moment pretty much precludes any first team involvement barring injuries (and then Howson may well be ahead of him for an attacking midfield role). Get him fit, see how he's doing there, then bring him back when he's firing on all cylinders ready to make an impact. There's no point him playing with the reserves, the reserve leagues don't have the quality of opposition he needs.
Alternatively, if CH has decided he doesn't fit, then good performances whilst out on loan put him much more in the shop window, meaning we stand a better chance of getting a better offer for him. I don't know what we paid Barnsley, but I get the impression it was below market value, so even if we do get rid, we stand a good chance of recouping the fee paid, or even profiting. It's a win win situation to me.
