Some of you might have seen Benny's tweet this morning, which said:

    Benoit Assou-Ekotto ‏@AssouEkotto
"Hello every 0ne!!!!! b strong at work and thînk positif!!!! Even if u hâte ur boss LoL"

He then followed it up (probably after a grilling from fans asking what was up) with:

"My last text is not about my boss lolol. Is for all my followers!!! :) "

since then, reports have emerged of the tweet (which could well just be **** stirring).

As a result, he's changed his profile image to a black background with white writing which says:

"I am responsible for what I say. I am not responsible for what you understand"

The question is, why did he need to put the "boss" part at the end of the sentence? If that same issue wasn't on his own mind, why would have have thought to write it? perhaps he was even writing it because of unrest with other players and not himself, maybe?

There's been speculation of unrest already. - Do you think this might be true and benny has let the cat out of the bag and is now trying to cover it up? Apparently the dressing room was very tense after the game against Wigan, too.

I really hope this isn't the case, but you have to wonder why Benny would write such a thing. I know his english isn't amazing, but he's gone to a lot of effort to make ammends. Doesn't sound good to me....

You can't rule out that that's what he meant, you also can't rule out that he thinks referring Gallas as the "boss", or even Levy(contract talks could have been stalled) but by far the most likely situation is that it was nothing to do with his boss and that it's meant to read how it's written.

I love your optimism YV, but i'm not so sure mate. speculation in the papers you can just discard as daily bullshit, but this looks like a right clanger from BAE to me. and it's not like the team are playing amazing football and look full of happiness and confidence either. it's quite the opposite.

He's never played for Chelsea, Notso <laugh>
but yeah, the signs are definitely there. might well be nothing in it, but you can't help but be concerned.

I can't remember if it was before the WBA home game or the Norwich home game, but BAE and AVB had a bust up over the traveling arrangements to the team hotel for their pre-match overnight stay.

The team were staying at an hotel in Canary Wharf which is where BAE lives. Much to Benny's annoyance, he was made to leave his home, travel to the training ground, board a coach with the rest of the squad and travel back to the hotel next door to his home !! To say he was not impressed would be an understatement.

I am not up-to-date on the current state of the relationship between them, but certainly there was a rift back in September over this matter.

This must be a Spurs managers thing, because Ramos did exactly the same with Jonathan Woodgate who also lived in Canary Wharf.

It could be a sly dig at City, for that matter.

hmmm v interesting Spurcat. I really hope this isn't the case and the discussion about benny is completely null and void, but something just doesn't add up. it's the last bloody thing we need right now.

hahaha HBIC, I'd love to think it was a dig at city, but i don't think Benny's english is good enough to think of something that clever and get it across on twitter in 140 character limit. then there was his quick cover up of course, which makes it seem all the more dodgy.

ahh well. we'll find out soon enough when he's back. if AVB persists with Verts at LB when Benny is available, it'll say a lot. IMO, we need Verts at CB more than we need to drop benny, so it'll be interesting to see what AVB does.

just read on twitter that apparently Dembele isn't having surgery according to AVB. he's having "manual therapy" and is going to be out for another 10-15 days.

cutting it fine in getting him back for the Arsenal game!

god knows. we took the piss out of pleat for "malbrank" and "chimbomba", but god almighty does avb say some strange things.

Manual therapy? just another "AVBism" to add to the list!

here's a link which follows on from what I saw on twitter.

So we'll be lining up against Man City without Dembele, Sandro, Parker or Livermore.

That'll be fun to sit through...

might need to think about using Dawson at the back with Caulker and play Verts as part of the defensive 2.

It's a horrendous mess i don't even want to think about.

They can't fill the one they've got now, despite mass advertising every week and email campaigns, so why do they need a new one? Is it smaller?

basically, take a footballer, and mess about with his name and a body part.

My personal fav: ToeKnee Adamsapple <laugh>

can anyone do better? (^^that's not mine by the way)

just having cock in your name is incredibly unfortunate.

when I was younger, I once served a lady called Mrs Thing. couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the name on her debit card.

and one of my friends has a client called "Will Chair". - I **** you not.
