    Sterling challenge was a yellow.

Colo charged at Suarez with the idea of taking him out badly.

It does appear he had a change of heart at the last moment though.

In slow motion a red might seem a little harsh now but there is intent and that enough in the modern game.

Colo was a red because there was intent, Sterling's foul on Cisse was never a red, probably not even a yellow. But his kick out at Simpson was a red, because although he made no contact with him he intended to (just like Colo).

Anyway the talking points should be the two world class goals not a red card. Good game lads, you just edged it to be fair based on possession/territory etc but I do think a draw was fair.

Best of luck for the season, be nice to see us both up there challenging the top 6 come the end of the season, even nicer would be for both teams to contest the Europa final <ok>

We edged it? We dominated 35 of the 45 minutes of the first half, we had 8 corners to your 1. In the second half we kicked you all over the pitch. 1-1 was never a fair reflection of Liverpools dominance, it was poor finishing that cost us big time. To say Liverpool ''edged it'' is an absolute joke.

How many clear cut chances did you have? Shelvey and Stirling that I remember. Until you scored we were so comfortable it was unbelievable. Yes you had nearly all the ball but never looked like scoring until a moment of brilliance from Suarez (aided by some god awful defending) but for clear cut chances (as a home team) you didn't create enough of them to deserve the win for me.

Thats what domination is pal, we may not have had clear cut chances, but we pegged you back in your own half. Your goal came from your only attack in the first half. We deserved to win as we kicked you off the park in the second half. It was poor finishing that let us down.

Possession doesn't win games mate, for all your dominance of "35 of the first 45 minutes" you only had 1 shot on target, as the away team I'd say that would mean job done by us first half and a massive lack of creativity from your lads. Second half we lost Cabaye & Ba, you were always going to dominate the ball from that moment onwards, but as I said until the goal we looked comfortable.

Coloccini got a deserved red, absolutely. I also don't think he's a dirty player in that he would attack anyone. It was a poorly timed challenge with intent and luckily Suarez wasn't injured. I won't think any less of Coloccini for it, but I can't give any sympathy for him.

As for Sterling, the tackle had no intent to injure, only to get the ball. It was mistimed and he should have gotten a yellow but he didn't. The kick out was probably worthy of a card but the ref didn't give one, and that's that.

I really don't understand what everyones problem is with Sterling's tackle on Cisse I think it was. He slid in, one the ball with one foot and his following foot slid through afterwards (underneath his body) and connected with Cisse. Name me one tackle, where the player doesn't make contact with the opponent after winning the ball? It used to be an excellent tackle, winning the ball, then making sure you connect with the man to ensure they know you are around.

Regarding him v Everton, he got booked for nothing (it was a foul) but take it back 5 years or so it would never be given as a booking, and then the only other foul I remember was when he was chasing the ball with Baines and made a tiny bit of contact and was again a free kick and again was never a yellow card.

It's getting to the point were every foul is now being classed as a yellow card and soon it'll go too far where defenders are scared to tackle in fear and we end up with a non contact sport.

Well that was my thoughts on the tackle but have still not seen the "kick out" as not wanting to sound all wengerish but I honestly did not see it and thought the fuss was about the tackle.
