Well there were no 'ifs' and 'buts' about the score, we lost, again, to United, at Old Trafford, lost 8 in the last 11 against them now, and are now 9 points below them, and 8 points below Chelsea, as well as 2 points behind Spurs, Spurs slipped up, and lo and behold we failed to make that slip up matter.
How's it doom mongering saying we won't win the league, but have a good chance of top 4???? Fact is, there is no negative doom mongering at all, it's just that people aren't going to indulge in blind optimism saying yessssss we're still title contenders and have every chance of wining the league.
I'll make a guarantee right now that Arsenal won't win the league, save this, and come back to me in May, and tell me how I was right again, and how you, were wrong again.

First of all I you could read you'd see I said we can challenge if we up the performances and invest in January. 2nd of all 9 points, while a big gap isn't un-toppable. And yes I admitted were we ****e today but at the end of the day the score was 2-1 and for all United's domination, they might have drawn if Giroud had scored that chance.
OXO, and my argument isn't that we're complete sh!t and finished, but that we're not title contenders, and our realistic best hope for the league is a top 4 finish.
There's no ifs and buts about today, we lost, we are 9 points behind United, and 8 behind Chelsea, no ifs and buts about any of that.

Miserable bugger? So stating reality, that we're not title contenders is being a miserable bugger? Sorry if I refuse to indulge in blind optimistic bull **** that everything's rosy and we're serious title contenders.
We've played 3 of the big 4 so far, lost 2, and drew 1, those results says it all really, that we're still behind them in terms of quality, and still 4th best, maybe 4th best because who knows, 4th place isn't set in stone.
It's good you call me miserable, because all I'm doing is correctly discussing Arsenal's state of affairs, so if I'm miserable, in reality, it's Arsenal's situation that's miserable, because that's all I'm pointing out, that we're not title contenders, which can easily be seen by our form, and results. .

As it stands and unless we dramatically improve, 4th is about the best we can hope to achieve this season.
But I also know that the season is long and a lot can change, as I said, this time last season there were people saying we'd end up mid table, one or two were even talking about relegation. I don't buy into the early season doom mongering, because it's been proved to be knee jerk time and again

Well by the same token, it's my prerogative to mention how we're not title contenders, and we're just a side that's capable of grabbing 4th spot as a maximum in the league.
