Blimey it takes a Gooner to show some sense. An independent view with oodles of common sense that isn't so common on our board when we aren't doing well. I'm not surprised though as this is the board where people were wrist slitting when we lost a chorion ship game while sitting top of the league still.

We have same fair weather fans here.

    Thanks fella.

If Adkins was to go which I hope he doesn't, Cortese will replace him with Redknapp without a shadow of doubt. Like him or hate him he ticks every box in what Cortese would be looking for in a premiership manager.

Not every box. Cortese would have his hands full getting him to 50% home grown players.

I do kind of agree and i dont want to say it but i feel by Jan we will be seriously adrift and confidence all but shattered.I feel pressure affects peoples thinking and decision making and that is where Nigel is right now but he has done great for us and my gut feeling is to stay with him for now.

I honestly couldn't disagree with you any more. To me, Harry is the complete and and opposite to what Cortese would be looking for. Not to mention the fact, as I have just said on another thread, that I cannot see Harry being willing to work under Les Reed.

Yes, same here. I don't think Harry would "tick every box". Cortese also mentioned that Nigel had a lot more honour and dignity than Pardew.

You really think he'd bring Harry here?

Personally and I don't want Nigel to go I'd take Curbishley.

I'd be happy with Curbishley but I think Adkins should be given a bit more time.

That promise is nothing compared to the one of never being relegated .

What do people think e.g. Curbishley could bring that is going to improve your chances of survival (which, by the way, as I've said on other threads, are IMO at least as good as those of at least seven other teams in the league, and better than some of those other seven)? Anyone who comes in now has got to work with the current players until January; unlike Adkins he will not already know the players, yet he has got to wave some sort of magic wand and have everything fall into place. As I said elsewhere, here at Norwich it has taken Chris Hughton 8 matches to get things straight in his own mind and get the players playing as he wants them to play; and he had the whole of pre-season with them. The idea that someone can just come in and turn it round is ludicrous. It is more likely that Adkins will turn it round. And that assumes that somehow things are badly wrong. They aren't, as your second half performance against Spurs shows. "Turning it round" just means "start to accumulate points". You will do that in the next few weeks with Adkins in charge. <ok>

Curbishley has managed in the Premiership, is unattached so won't require payment and has shown that he has experience of excelling in the run in and avoiding relegation like with West Ham.

Anyone seen that Di Canio is the current bookies favourite?! He's best priced at 4/6!! Odds-on, christ. I really don't know what's worse Di Canio or Redknapp? Thoughts....

Well he did sub his keeper earlier this season. He could certainly have done that with us. Trouble is he'd have run out by half time!

This is only a rumour because he is Italian and so is our Chairman (with Swiss undertones). Can't see NC tolerating his behaviour having seen how his antics wound up the opposition fans at the last match (though he said he was misunderstood). Our Nigel carefully considers what he says; di Cano let's his passion outrun his brain. Not Nicola's style.
