    the last 3 times ive sat and wrote out a long thread about a game its logged me out because ive taken more than 5 minutes to write it making me lose all ive wrote and i cant be arsed to write it again how do i change this

    When it logs you out (very annoying) when you log back in if you scroll down what you typed should still be there mate <ok>

    ..............or if you're aware that time is ticking away, then highlight what you've already typed, right click, then copy.
    if the worst happens, then you can start again, right click, paste .... and you have your original typing back..

    thanks lads im gonna write them out in note pad or word from now on i think, and i had such a good bruce out rant on the go....only kidding i was canny pleased 1st half cant remember what happend after.....

    we knocked the ball around well and looked composed even at a goal down i thought we would win it

    its done the same to me on numerous occasions. I now just highlight and copy what ive wrote before clicking on "submit reply" then just paste it if i have to log in again.
    Just recently wrote a couple of articles only to lose them then couldnt be bothered to do them again.

    Odd, using Chrome and Windows 7 I've never been logged out.

    Never happened to me either using Explorer 9 & Windows 7

    .. probable cause is the loss of user's internet connection (for whatever reason)

    net connections is fine i think it classes me as inactive if i dont move the mouse even though im typing

    I use firefox at home, it logs me out, i use explorer at work, it doesn't.

    If you use firefox, it's probs that.
