SFL says no. SFA says no. Rebel says yes.

    Correct.

The Bible says that Mary was immaculately conceived. The Bible is the horses mouth in these matters.

From what I gather, he is disagreeing with you. He is suggesting they are the same club.

This has no bearing in fact. He believes this because he has faith. Faith in his club. In spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I don't think drawing that parallel is ridiculous in the slightest.

So Rangers' status is opinion then. And the immaculate conception - fact or faked - is opinion too.

We have established that my opinion on both matters is different to yours.

    Yes.

We are both prepared to ignore a wealth of evidence to support our opinion(s) because of faith.

It is hypocritical to say that those beliefs are insane or laughable when you hold views of your own that are ostensibly counter to all logic.

I do not have faith though. I have an opinion formed on the evidence from primary witnesses.

You have faith because of trust in the words in ancient year old text translated and transcribed so many times it is known to be erroneous.

    Primary sources you say?

More primary than the final report to the creditors of Rangers Football Club?
More Primary than the interim report to the creditors of Rangers Football Club?
More Primary than letters and correspondence from the Administrators of Rangers Football Club?
More Primary than from the mouth of one of the administrators?
More Primary then the League Rangers played in till their demise?
More Primary than the Manager of your new Club?
More Primary than the Rangers Supporters Trust prior to Liquidation?
More Primary than several ex players?
More Primary than the greatest Manager in the history of Rangers?
More Primary than Rangers supporting posters on this very site prior to liquidation?
More Primary than TWO top QC's?
More Primary than the Governing Body of European Football?
More Primary than dozens, if not hundreds of Media outlets?
    More Primary than precedents?
More Primary than the guy leading the consortium to try and agree a CVA for Rangers?
More Primary than the CVA document itself?

Really? Because you said you'd "rip me a new one" when it came to arguing the facts, so lets see what Primary evidence you have for this fantastical tale?

Or alternatively we could agree that you have placed your stock in whatever weak evidence it is that you have because it suits what you want to believe?

In truth though, that last sentence could also be applied to religion.

I do believe. Not necessarily in the literal truth of the Bible, but I believe a lot of the things that are seemingly 'impossible'. I don't need evidence to support this. It is Faith. As a general rule I do not evangelise on these things. Not because of fear of ridicule but because I don't expect I would be very good at it and also because I am not smart enough to convey the message to people who apply rational and logical principles to matters of Faith.

I recognise the same is true of people who say they support Rangers. They can say it all they want but by applying logic and rational principles, the club they supported is no longer there. It is absolutely a matter of Faith.
