In that article Massa says: "We are working on a lot of things in the development of the car, (But) we have had some problems with parts we have brought to the last few races not working when we go onto the track". There's nothing mentioned about the updates for India not working.
The only thing we know about the India updates is what Tombazis said in the last SF Racing News video: "We have had an aero test prior to heading off to India, where we ran control tests on these updates to really understand what the problem was. We got some very interesting answers which we believe will allow us to recover from those problems and so, our aim in this forthcoming Indian GP, will be to make up the ground we have lost"
What do you expect other than vague? I hardly think he'd spell out any gains or losses.![]()

HRT are bringing a major upgrade to this race. They got a picture of a red bull and then carefully redesigned their car with some tracing paper and some IP lawyers.
Should be a big improvement![]()
To be fair, a sheet of tracing paper carried by the wind is quicker than the HRT.
To Narain: The paper is faster than you! Can you please confirm you understood the message?
Narain (cue that silly squeaky voice he has): I deserve to beat the paper. I'm an elite driver.
.Another rumour going about that Massa didn't want the upgrades but Alonso did. Had a major get together to discuss the chances of this all ****ing up, Fry was rumoured to be determined to want to use the upgrrades now and just go for it.
Don't believe what you read on twitter.
And chatter on twitter saying Ferrari's DDRS upgrade has failed as well and they will not risk reliability with car so will likely not use the majority of the upgrades planned. Ferrari is also in 'SUPER' Overdrive the last couple of weeks drivers and engineers have actually lived at their base of operations. They will test them again on Friday and see how it goes, but earlier signs were not positive and unreliability was high but more upgrades were on the way but India customs control again might be a problem.
Who on twitter said all of this?
Wasn't on twitter, was from one of the Scuderia forums and he says he had a mate in Shell that told him this. Didn't seem to give a **** if they believed him or not, but he was talking of reliability problems before a few F1 journalists started to talk about it.

Yeah well my mate's aunt's godson's goldfish's pet twinkie told me that the wind tunnel reliability problems have actually gotten worse so they've upgraded to an asthmatic blowing on the car. True story.
