A bit vague isn't he or is that normal from his lot? Are they really upgrades for use though? or are they just tweakings of past upgrades for future use (after India) now they know what the data really shows after these recent tests etc... And I'm also reading that India customs could be a issue here if they have been able to sort this out back at Cologne as it takes something like 6 days to get through or something...
Well anything would do, happy, sad, optimistic, confident, cautious... I think this whole secret society with the testing has more to do with comparing data with both wind tunnels rather than testing upgrades for race use.
Chat on twitter: Faiz Ronaldo ‏@fronaldo87 @metinmete hopefully so.i heard that exhaust cause rear side burnt down on 1st run and alternator prob on 2nd run during test.is that true? Metin Mete ‏@metinmete @fronaldo87 yes true.
HRT are bringing a major upgrade to this race. They got a picture of a red bull and then carefully redesigned their car with some tracing paper and some IP lawyers. Should be a big improvement
And chatter on twitter saying Ferrari's DDRS upgrade has failed as well and they will not risk reliability with car so will likely not use the majority of the upgrades planned. Ferrari is also in 'SUPER' Overdrive the last couple of weeks drivers and engineers have actually lived at their base of operations. They will test them again on Friday and see how it goes, but earlier signs were not positive and unreliability was high but more upgrades were on the way but India customs control again might be a problem. RBR also said to spend 3 days at Abu Dhabi with whatever upgrades they want to try out, while the rest can't or something
Another rumour going about that Massa, Smedley and Tombazis didn't want to use the upgrades at this GP, but Alonso and Fry did. They then had a major get together to discuss the chances of this all ****ing up, Fry was rumoured to be determined to want to use the upgrades now and just go for it instead of waiting another few weeks and losing more against RBR.
Wasn't on twitter, was from one of the Scuderia forums and he says he had a mate in Shell that told him this. Didn't seem to give a **** if they believed him or not, but he was talking of reliability problems before a few F1 journalists started to talk about it.
https://twitter.com/metinmete The guy is from Turkey. Metin Mete ‏@metinmete Last update:Ferrari's new package had serious reliability problems, team discussed today 2 go conservatist or aggressive and opted for latter. If all of this is true, then Ferrari must be getting desperate for cutting it this close with a possible double DNF at India where temps will be 30c+ and their main problem with the major upgrades is heating yet they still want to go with it. Ferrari have gone all in maverick style!
Yeah well my mate's aunt's godson's goldfish's pet twinkie told me that the wind tunnel reliability problems have actually gotten worse so they've upgraded to an asthmatic blowing on the car. True story.
