Suddenly...A strange darkness descended.. the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky fell silent..A tranquil peace covered the land like a shroud....As it was written in the book of Azheekal....the angels did weep in the heavens....He had come.. the Mayan prophecy had arrived in the form of a human goal machine.....the stars had converged over the KC stadium... soccers version of haleys comet finally reset his sat nav and discovered the onion bag like Columbus tripping over the new world.....The planet would never been the same again... well done son..<ok> I always had faith... Vorsprung durch technic...
PS. OLM... your a very sad article.. <ok>

Now that is funny! <applause>:D

Having seen both Prossie goals, I have to say they would have been harder to miss. Ipswich just didn't bother defending. Think Jewell's had it.

IUTBJF made this thread almost 3 months to the day

It took Prossie forever to pop his cherry
He hasn't started a game and has had rare appearances of the bench too. Realistically, he's probably had 4 chances in the League, scored 2 and had one cleared off the line, with the other blazed over the bar.

Can't agree at all on the second.

As for the first, you have to get in the right position to score like that.

Waghorn should take note!

Waggy wouldn't have an hat-trick with the space you had yesterday. He nearly got a couple of belters from distance and I don't think the chance he missed was as easy as the media made out.

You have to say with his header Prossie would have struggled to miss the target. Great approach work don't get me wrong, but these two goals hardly prove that he "has arrived" as they say. But I'm sure he will.

What, you mean the Geordie monkey hasn't scored yet this season?

Someone should should start a thread about it.

On his first goal, Proschwitz could hardly miss. Whereas, on his second goal, he had a lot to do to get that in. Amazing cross from Elmo too!

No thanks, that's Fallen's job.

I think the point in Fallen's thread is Prossie wasn't supposed to be your fourth choice player, not for the price you paid just few months ago. And not after you lot told us how good he was going to be.

And there's a good chance Waggy will drop to fifth choice when we sell and replace Beckford in Jan..hopefully.

You paid more for Waghorn and I suspect you didn't buy him to be your fourth choice striker.

I also suspect that Proswitz will be moving up the pecking order with us, while Waghorn is dropping further down the pecking order with you.

Waggy was 2M

Prossie was 2.6M

Basic maths says Prossie cost more

I didn't realise Waghorn cost £2M. NP really does rate him I suppose.

I'm not sure why Waghorn doesn't score more, good player IMO. NP liked playing Waghorn, Fryatt and Hobbs. He'd play all three for you now if he had them all (although I don't think I would).

Sousa signed Waghorn.

Well, more like Mandaric. We hadn't signed anyone of any decency and on the last day of the transfer window (and after a shocking start to the season) Mandaric signed him knowing he was a fan favourite after the season he had with us before hand.

Basically, he was a panic buy.

I see.

Uncle Nige does like Waghorn though and NP is very loyal to players that he likes. I'm sure he'd have tried to re-sign Hobbs and Fryatt if our owners hadn't "pulled up the drawbridge".

Having said that, both are out injured which says a lot for how we are doing (missing our top scorer and also our captain).

Actually, Proschwitz cost more towards the 1 million mark.
