During his time with us he has shown glimpses of his undoubted quality by providing 2 assists, however with a season warming the bench for Inter and playing in the Italian league it has obviously left him a bit wanting for 90mins in the Premier League.

My question is do we buy him for say 6million?

Personally I think with todays rumours of Gyan to Spurs I think it is vital we keep at least one of the Ghana boys and unless Mensah produces some mind blowing displays in the last 4 games then I say we should hang onto Sulley.

Also with a summer of proper training under his belt he should be up and running for the start of next season and I think a fully fit Muntari is certainly an asset to Sunderland football club.

    Thoughts.....

Will have to see how he does in the last few games. We may see a more confident Sulley after last week, let's hope so.

Last game showed his fitness levels were improving. He also sprayed some nice passes about. Lets see how he performs in the last few games.

Can we afford him, apparently on 90 grand a week, not worth that.

We know Sulleys capable of being a good performer in the league, he did it at Pompey, to the point that MOurinho was prepared to buy him for a fortune.

His cameo last week was outstanding, biting tackles, good use of the ball, and he's left footed, lefties are notoriously tricky to find, decent one's at least.

If it's pre arranged at £4-6million, wewould get that back even if it doesn't work out.

Overall he's been underwhelming thus far, but for that kinda money for a player of his stature, i say sign him up.

The jury is most certainly out on Muntari, he seems a very versitile player aswell, which could help if we have another injury plagued season next year

One thing is for sure, we certainly won't be paying 90k a week for him.

I think if you analyse the situation that Muntari has found himself coming into - major injury problems and overall lack of team form/confidence - anyone would have taken time to settle, especially when he was so short of fitness. Last week showed a glimpse of the quality that persuaded Mourinho to buy him, he has proven success in the premiership and I believe after a full summer training and involvement in a fit confident Sunderland team he will be a great buy - not sure he will want to stay after his experiences so far...

All fair, but if he doesn't want to stay, cos he's had a bit of justified grief for not performing, we're better off without.

If he does want to stay, then we can expect to see his quality, so it's win/win.

It might be that the three Ghanian lads are effectively a package deal, help them settle and all that sort of thing. That stacks up to a big decision for Bruce.

He has 4 games to earn a deal. I'll not judge him until the end of the season.

Pretty much every time he's played i think he has looked pissed! That aside id keep him, undoubted quality and as mentioned Jose doesnt get it wrong. Does he?

On a side note id tell him not to hang onto the ball for 4 hrs before looking to pass to somebody.

This. Muntari showed us all what he is capable of last weekend and is the answer to our left side of midfield woes. I also agree that he will certainly be an asset to the club because of his versatility. Sign him up Bruce!

Yes, I think. It's been a bit unfair for him only being on the winning team once, but he's obviously top class. It would be silly to throw away Sulley!

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Sess prefers the left - now we have Henderson on the right (finally!!!), do we really need him?

He did well last game and people forget he was doing well against Liverpool - still got a lot to do to win the crowd over imo

For me he's done little for us except contribute to a truly horrible series of defeats that seemed to last forever! He had a decent cameo last week, but he has to show a hell of a lot more in the 4 remaining games to justify us wanting to sign him for good.

Done nothing to impress me although his performances have improved over the last couple of games. He's not worth 90k a week and on past performances nowhere near 6mil. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on the lad as his arrival has coincided with our barren spell, maybe that's why his performances have been noticed more by us fans as being not up to PL standard. For us to sign him permanently he'll have to improve 20 fold scoring a couple of goals will help as well, I can't see that happening so leave well alone and spend the cash (if available) somewhere else.

I say give the lad a chance. The team has been poor ovr a couple of months and all the players have struggled, so how anyone can be singled out I don't understand.

SB has tried Sess on both wings and for me he didn't cut the mustard on either wing. Last weekend clearly showed that his best position is in an advanced role. He caused all sorts of problems to the Wigan defence last week, so I hope he repeats the performance today against Fulham.

I'm quietly confident that if Sulley is played out left today, we will see another good performance from him. In my view, some of us have been a little too quick to judge him and dismiss his worth to the club. As others have pointed out, you don't sign for Inter Milan unless you have the ability to play for such a prestigious club. If we do sign him, I seriously think that he will be a revelation for us during the next campaign, after a full preseason under his belt.

    Anyway, we shall see!
