Don't know where to start with this and it's not for the first time. There's little point replying properly anyway, you continue to miss the point and take your blinkered view come what may. Disagree if you want, I don't mind. The only things we've asked you to do is tone down the posts and be stop repeating the same old opinions.

And the only thing I've asked is, are you asking my attackers to tone down their posts and stop offering their same old opinions. And I repeat my tone is mild compared to theirs, so it seems there's some kind of victimisation going on here, unless you have requested similar things from other people.

I'm not missing the point, it's you who are missing the point and has the blinkered views.

There's nothing tired about my opinion BTW, it is a valid, vital one, directly pertinent to why we lost today, if people don't want to face the truth of the matter, that's up to them.

Yes, people who are "enlightened" enough to see "the truth" that eludes all others, always worry me a bit!..

Walker has quit Twattle after receiving abuse for his performance. I think this is terrible. Gallas didn't, and he cost us three goals.

Meanwhile, Cashley is giving it large after the game - presumably to make up for looking very, very small during the game itself. I hear that's not the only way you can call him small, either...

There's nothing we can say that will make Chelsea supporters feel bad, they won so they're 100% happy. Best we forget it and move on.

Statistics have shown that supporting Chelsea makes you 75% more susceptible to being infected with gonorrhea.

    Wait, that wasn't a challenge?

You bossed the first half, apart from the last 10 mins, where we battered your goal, only so be stopped by some good saves by cech and your defenders throwing themselves at everything. We had plenty of chances in the second, as did you. We finished the game with more shots and more on target. 3 mistakes led to a flattering scoreline despite Chelsea playing well. Take the mistakes away and a draw would have been a very fair result based on stats, or perhaps a Chelsea win by 1 goal, based on the overall possession. If you can't see that's a fair view, then you are the "divvy" my friend.

Stats can show anything you want it to.

The Stats currently show Sunderland have had more attempts on goal and more more possession than Newcastle. What do we learn from that? Little.

This is starting to sound Wenger-esque

First half was all us, you were lucky to only be one down. You're right, you did come into the game for the final 10 minutes of it but we were still the better side. 2nd half you came out of the blocks quickly and dominated until Mata scored, from then we had the better of the game.

You can't just say the bollocks I've highlighted, the majority of goals in football come from defensive mistakes. Football would be a very dull sport if everyone's defence was perfect.

I'm mystified as to how any Spurs fan can say they didn't deserve to lose yesterday but each to their own I guess

We deserved to lose because we made a lot more mistakes than Chelsea, mainly in attack. Chelsea were good enough to punish more than half of our defensive mistakes and that was why you scored four. We were only good enough to punish about a quarter of yours which made all of the difference. Chelsea's defence does allow an awful lot of chances for the opposition though, and you will be punished for that sooner or later.

Your attacking midfield players got a lot of plaudits but actually they made fewer good chances from their own good play than we did - both teams squandered most of those though.

The first half was actually quite even, you didn't make many other chances than the goal, and you should have conceded a penalty from the blatant shirt pull by Cahill on Defoe. We had at least three other good chances as well. Much the same was true in the second half but we needed one of our chances to go in at 2-1, 2-2 or 2-3. But you're quite right that mistakes lose matches and we didn't deserve to win because we made too many of them. Our failure to punish your defensive mistakes was more galling for me though.

I am mystified as well. In my view, we were damned lucky to go in at half time only a goal down, considering you had outpassed us for fun. Ok, we then threw the kitchen sink at you for the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half, but when we then made some really poor mistakes to gift you some goals, I think we have to accept we got what we deserved from the game - nothing.

I don't take too much comfort from the match stats either as I suspect the number of shots we had includes one from Sandro which ended in row z of the upper tier and several from Defoe which were more hit and hope rather than genuine chances.

I will say though that when a manager loses a key player only hours before kick off, it doesn't help. Pity the game Bale had to miss was against an in form Chelsea.

Mata missed a sitter and we controlled the game comfortably.

Sorry but the shirt pull excuse is laughable, he had a hold of his shirt but wasn't using enough force to pull him to the floor, Defoe fell because of the way he shot and didn't make an appeal whatsoever.

Not aimed at you PS, but at the end of the day the score was 4-2, accept defeat graciously and move on. See you at the Bridge :)

I think we had seven good chances to score, not counting the goals. First half: Gallas free from a free kick but misses the ball, Sig miscontrolled a cross on the far post and pulled it just wide, Defoe had his shirt pulled in the box - clear penalty, Defoe had Dempsey free on the left with the goal at his mercy but chose to shoot. Second half : Lennon shot straight at Cech having made space, Sig was through and blazed over, Ade got his legs tangled on a rebound from Cech. This doesn't even count two excellent saves from Defoe and Walker, where the shots were as good as you could expect. You don't deserve to win if you miss chances like these but it doesn't suggest we were played off the park

It wasn't an excuse but your response is laughable. The Laws of the Game say that holding an opponent is an offence worth of a direct free kick/penalty. Nothing about how much force is appled.

I'm not denying he had a hold of his shirt, I'm saying it definitely was not a penalty. It would've been soft as ****.

Can't agree with that PS, those kinds of things happen all the time, just like their penalty shout there was no way enough to award a penalty.

I'd agree with a lot of that. We made some defensive howlers that gifted them 3 of their goals. Plus we just kept losing the ball, allowing their midfield trio far too much time and space. Again, you can't allow players of that calibre those kind of opportunities and expect not to pay for it. But, Gallas and Walker had ample opportunity to make proper clearances, and failed to do so.
