If Cortese does show Nigel Adkins the door...

He has to be the best man for the job surely?

He took over at Spurs when they were poor at the bottom about as many games in as we are and took them to the Champions league...

    Attracts players

Players wont to play for him...

    Tell me why we shouldn't...

"cause he is a skate" "he got us relegated" umm Grow up! Yes he has skate connections. We were always getting relegated that season we had no quality.

It wouldn't be accepted just because people still have grudges.

dont want or need him. pays over the odds for average players. Always thought he was a dodgy character and dont want him to use us as a stepping stone, AGAIN.

Yes he can build a decent squad, but is there enough cash kicking about to do that in January when prices are usually inflated. If you brought in a very good centre back and left back in Jan I think we would have a very good chance of staying up. But the question remains, where are you going to find these awesome players that want to join relegation fodder in January?

NO. I'd rather my mum take over the managerial role than Redknapp

Disagree with the last bit. We had enough to stay up that year. We went down, becasue either the players or the manager (Redknapp) couldn't hold onto a lead (like now). Go back and check the results and how many games we blew in the last 5 minutes.

You lot are deluded! He is the best manager out of a job at the moment... so you would rather see YOUR club suffer and have someone
sort it out who you may not be the biggest fan of or get WHO exactly as manager...

    What?

Redknapp got us relegated and we went into administration soon after. Adkins got us double-promoted.

I'm not deluded. I just said that he had plenty of opportuntiy to keep us up last time with an ok squad. Check my post and those results.

Don't have a problem with Arry, but I just don't rate him.

Problem with Harry was he did NOT come to us for the good of our club , he came to us to stick two fingers up to MM ( Then Pompey chairman ) after their falling out .

Unfortunately it blew up in our faces .

YES I was one that said back then I did not want him as manager , and I still don't !

Putting my objective hat on, he's all right, but not the answer to our current situation.

Apart from the fact he probably wouldn't be the kind of character Cortese tends to look for, he's just not as good as everyone seems to think. Bought loads of players for Spurs for a lot of money that he never gave a chance. Pienaar and Dos Santos spring to mind, and Bale only got dragged out of the reserves when they had an injury crisis. And that court case finished him as far as I'm concerned, guilty or not. How anyone can state under oath that they are so illiterate they can't fill out a teamsheet and hope to get a job anywhere ever again is beyond me.

Not to mention every club he's ever managed apart from Spurs has ended up in administration!

One more thing. Poor old Arry would make Adkins look like Einstein tactically

To be fair to Redknapp he didnt get us relegated from the Prem , it was promoting Wigley to manager that got us relegated and a November of that season when we played 4 team's in or around the relegation zone and only got a win against Pompey. I can't stand Redknapp but to keep blaming him for us getting relegated is a bit much.....and I dont want him back either.
