Just to get the winners up early before the prices crash.

Ascot
1.45 Opinion Poll 3/1
2.20 Slade Power 8/1
2.55 Sapphire 7/2

Opinion Poll and Sapphire are two stonecold goodthings, I reckon Society Rock is a bookie horse and Slade Power at 8/1 looks the one for me but I wouldnt be as confident as I am about the other two of whom I wont hear of defeat.

I was lining up a big daily thread for tomorrow (my debut to boot) and we get this. 3 losers, no mention of Cheltenham, no mention of Frankel. What a ****ing disaster.

<laugh> if your no fast your last, as im sure you will find out later with King Of The Night <ok>

The Cotton Wool Kid needs no more bumming up from us, and the Cheltenham card is boringly poor.

Fame and Glory wins the first anyway. That filly has a chance but the value is Shirocco Star at 8s e/w with the best jockey in the game on top

Agree totally re Sapphire. Has excellent form on the likley ground and this season she has been Impressive with a capital ‘I’. Looks most progressive. Plus, of course, she’s also got a lovely name for a filly which is always a bonus.

Meanwhile, over at Cheltenham it will be very interesting to see how Peckhamecho fares upped in grade over the big ‘uns. Was ultra impressive on his fencing bow and the McCoy boy retains the ride.

hes finished m8, once a Montjeu goes they dont come back, no show in the Gold Cup, shadow of his best in the Irish Leger, last season emptied him mentally and he should be retired after tomorrow.

Shadow of his best in last years Ledger still hacked up in this race last year. Forgive him Ascot, any horse can put in a shocker, and he's a heck of a price-just like he was last year.

It was different last year, it was too bad to be true, he had no excuses in this years renewal and he has been beaten by horses he would have destroyed in the last few seasons when holding every chance 1f out, he also dosent want heavy ground, he likes nice ground and I just dont think the horse has this race in him anymore in this type of ground, I wouldnt waste my money. Opinion Poll will love conditions, is an improved horse this year and is coming here trained for the race and fresh, hes an absolute certainty. There was only 1 1/4 between them last year on nice ground, Opinion Poll will turn that round on the this ground before you even take into account that Fame And Glory is beyond producing another performance like that.

Do you ever read the crap that comes out of your mouth??

No excuses this time round except that he physically looked like he needed the run and then attempted to make all. He went out like a light which backs up the fact he badly needed the run. Also yes he only won 1 1/4L last year but he won it so easily. I knew I'd won 4-5f out, I even said as much at the time. He won with plenty up his sleeve. I don't buy the ground factor either, he ran 5th in the Arc on vsoft ground (Workforce's Arc) as a 4yo when badly hampered and he won the Criterium on heavy as a 2yo.

You mean the crap that comes off of my fingers?

I also knew that I was up for my money 4 out that day, and a great bet he was that day, but that vibe is not there this time around and Ill tell you why, because the horse has had enough, once a Montjeu turns there is no coming back. Workforce's Arc was the worst Arc of all time, I will stand by that statement till the day I die, no one here likes Fame And Glory more than me, I had one of the biggest bets of my life on him against Sea The Stars in the Derby and id love to see him win again, but I know the horse is gone and I wont throw my money away on ground that he hates, against a horse who has everything going for him in Opinion Poll.

They put the stats on twitter about 90 mins ago. Looking at the Ascot weather forecast, it should be dry overnight and stay that way until tomorrow evening. Problem is they said they would not get much rain today, so I don't know how much store to put by it!
