Its dry at Ascot now but we had steady rain most of the afternoon. If we used the going statement of Very Soft in this country that is where it would be. Most definitely a day suited to mudlarks.
Have nibbled away at 20s on the exchanges on Nathaniel on the off chance Frankel doesn't run. It's not the ground for a horse with a turn of foot tomorrow, it will require a powerhouse. Frankel winning tomorrow will be one of his best performances against two nailed on soft ground performers. I think he will get through the ground though regardless, as long as there is a sensible ride.
Some good prices around GGW, Fame and Glory, Nathaniel each way as i think he will get 2nd, however for me the price to take tonight is in the last race. Ascot 4.45 Compton 12-1 lump on and take the price is my advice
With regards to the sprint race I think the July Cup is the race to draw conclusions from because of the going tomorrow. You can opt to back 3rd that day Society Rock at 3/1, or you can back 2nd that day The Checka at 20s. I appreciate Wizz Kid held Mayson cheekily but she really doesn't travel well. I'm more than prepared to rule her out.
Excelebration is the best miler in the mile race, heck probably the best horse, but Cityscape acts on soft and will stay this trip. In an 8 runner field with an odds on fav I think Cityscape at 5s can be an e/w bet to nout.
I've got so many posts it'll take me ages to boom boom all of these tomorrow when i get back from Ascot
Sea of blue for Il De Re on oddschecker likewise for Restiardgent! so Im guessing one of those will be pricewise!
No probs. Only like That'lldoboy from his selections. Couldn't be having Carlton House or the French filly even if she is trained by Fabre
