Am I the only miserable old git in the country who thinks "good luck to the happy couple", but sweet Jesus give us a break from Royal Wedding mania? I was woken from my slumbers at 06.00 after a couple of jars last night and an excellent Vindaloo to wall to wall gushing on the tv about that event. Life will not be worth living for grumpy old swines like me who like a little peace and quiet and no histrionics. What happened to British reserve? Any suggestions on how to stay sane while my wife wallows in the schmaltz?
With you 100% mate not anti royal or pro royal for that matter but, FFS media people give it a rest. You know as well it'll be on all day long and probably all weekend, never mind we've got a home game against Fulham tomorrow to look forward to and hopefully another 3 points (can see it being a draw mind). Quick suggestion for the sake of your sanity get in the garden fire the BBQ up and have a few drinks with the music of choice blaring out to drown out the wedding day racket.
Been looking at my e-mails and I've got one from B&Q about the 15% so might go there. My plan is working out like this: still lingering over my breakfast cuppa to try and eke out time to 09.00. Water the vegetables and maybe transfer some from seed trays to the raised bed. Mow the lawns then have a trip to the tip. No doubt the tele will be on so will check out Kate and maybe send out a message for her not to waste herself on Wills and give me a call. Its not too late pet. Then B&Q, thats got to get me to mid-day at least. I like the idea of a bbq so must stock up for that, a few cans, enough meat to get me thinking of the Atkins Diet and after all that activity a gentle slumber on the sun lounger. Then fire up the bbq, it could work out to be a reasonable sort of day after all.
Ha ha ha, class. Off with his head! It's even on SSN, for ****s sake. They never showed my mates wedding on SSN, and we had an impromptu kick about in our suits, was much more ****ing relevant. Favouritism.
