A lot of us on this site said last season that Newcastle will be judged on what they do this season just to decide whether last season was a one off for them. They're sitting 10th in the table after a surprise thrashing at home today. There'll be flutterings up there.

Odd player to be linked with, given Lennon is playing well. He's got a decent record of goals and assists, but do we really need a winger?

they need some one,they are in Danger of going out of the league,speaking of that it's national non-league day tomorrow.Season ticket holders of any league club can go and see a non -league game free, on production of their season ticket.
 
Very interesting interview in Football Focus with Villas-Boas, if a little short.
Seemed to have great affection for Sir Bobby Robson and spoke very positively about Mourinho, despite apparently falling out with him.
Looked happy.

One thing that looked odd was his initials at Chavski were AV - so when did the B get added? Especially when you consider that his initials are actually LAdPCeV-B?

Were they? I always thought they were AVB at Chelsea too?
 
It doesn't seem to matter who we have in charge we still are linked with a hell of a lot of players,it's now a Feyenoord midfielder. I thought we were ok in that department and another striker was priority.

Naturally, the comparisons are saying Jordy Clasie is the Dutch Xavi. It was said a couple of weeks back that Porto want to hold on to Moutinho (after Hulk's cash grab in St Petersburg), so if we're looking for a creative midfielder we will have to look elsewhere (although we seem to have either decided not to sign Georginio Wijnaldum, who we were linked to in the latter days of Harry's reign, or more likely Dembele is playing in his role)

The Chavs are linked to Benny. Pfft...
 
What I mean is there is nothing going on at the mo and I want to sink my teeth into something or somebody. The next match is juicy so bloody roll on. If we win it there are good times ahead.
