For the me the offical statements from HJ, ML and in particular Monk ("Well I say funny, in fact it made most of the boys angry....") settles this non-issue. I can understand there being lots of parties that would revel in anything that detracts from the value of the club, the club's vision and mission, and us as supporters. We're Jacks. We play together, win together, lose together. Pity the petty little minds that dream, twist or spin this sort of story up; if that's the best their craft can offer they really should be looking for another job. Why is it then Ayres stated on the programme that Rodgers first move was to say that he wanted Joe. There was no mention that Kenny was looking at him for if he was, when he had the funds why didn't he go for him then? If Kenny was interested in Joe, why no mention by Ayres that the capture of Joe was on Liverpools agenda prior to Rodgers departure ?
