I nly ever really play driving games on consoles, the controlers are too fiddly for shooters. And since GT5 turned out to be so bad and Forza so good I dont see the need for my PS3 any more

GT5 so bad? actually a lot has been updated since the release, and it's very fun now. the crash physics have been improved massively even though it's only visual still. B-spec is very challenging, even though your not driving ,which you wouldnt get from other racing games.
 
Turns out for us students it's worked out quite well. With facebook crashing every 5 seconds on the ipod and as boring as ever, and not much on the TV except motorsport at the moment, theres no distractions!......ugh revision

But the PS3 has a lot of very fun single player games to pass the time on a revision break, like Fallout 3, the singleplayer in F1 2010 and AC Brotherhood, and Burnout Paradise. I despise these Call of Duty games nowadays. Black Ops is boring after 30 mins and MW2 looks and feels cheap and tacky (thanks hackers). MW1 and WaW, were better, but i get the impressiin they don't really care about the people actually playing these games.
 
I agree with carno here - the xbox is simply better. I dont mind paying as its worth it.

- Xbox Live owns PSN
- Graphics not as good, but PS3 came out later so was expected to have better graphics
- Halo = Brilliant (teabagging = more fun)
- XBL comes with FB, Twitter, ESPN, Sky Player

Only problem for me is the many kids ruining COD. The american kids with super high pitched voices piss me off.

Anyone seen that guy Kevin on Youtube? What a legend!

thats all fine and dandy, but what about the problems xbox-ers keep quite? Me brother traded his xbox in for a ps3 BEFORE this started because:

it was scratching the discs of his games causing them to crash
had nightmare problems with the 'rechargeable' batteries and the 'X' button
every now and again it disconnected from our router, but me ps3 has never done that (unless we moved house)
hardrive cable thing unplugging itself

and some other reasons that I can't remember. I've spoke to friends that have had minor problems with the xbox, and ok they are all different problems, but its quite regular.
 
Except when it first came out, when you couldnt get on for ages (not by hackers)

Never had problems with rechargeable batteries, x button, let alone a router problem or a hardrive cable problem etc

Xbox must really hate you then lol.
 
I have had my Xbox for three years and have not had any problems at all with it. Xboxes are much better than PS3s, they also have better games, Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable, at least FIFA, F1 2010 and Red Dead Redemption are available on PS3.

Depends on what you like really. I say that PS3 have better racing games (GT5, Motorstorm etc) but X's have better RPGs (hate them anyway) We also have Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout, Resistance, Killzone, and more. I prefer all of them games (except KZ) to most of the Xboxs games. Just down to opinion. And we have a less chance to brake <laugh>
 
GT5 turned out to be aweful. Once you're up around the mid 20's level cars and money dry up. They force you to go B spec to earn money and cars to progress, and B spec is the most boring addition I've ever seen to a racing game! For something that was 5 years in development it sure doesn't look it, and what is the point in only having cosmetic damage? You see so many people crashing into walls with no intention of even trying to make the corner, then just bounce off and keep driving. Tuning is pretty useless too, I can't even mod the brakes. Forza wins hands down for me everytime. On;y dumb thing they did was to include the rewind option for when you make a mistake
 
The bonus with xbl IMO is that more people talk online than on PSN. You can't really tell the difference from graphics on certain consoles since most games designed are swayed to the xbox majority since it's the slightly lower spec.

Xbox for online and fun, ps3 for exclusives and blue ray.
 
I'm lost, presumably it's online gaming, leaves me cold guys, leave me out, good luck, sound's like Sony have fu**ed up bigtime.
