I think we're talking about different United Chelsea games here. This is the one I was talking about.

I can't see any controversy about the previous season's one.

I can prove everything I've said, they're facts <ok> Speaking of which, any link to the 3 strikes theory?

I said no, the media are reporting it.

I think the chelsea game was the season before, dodgy free kick that Terry scored from.

If the media are reporting it there will be an online reference you can post. We've gone a long way from the days pre internet where you had to take newspaper clippings or hope it's on Ceefax.

Oh and yeah, that 1-0 was the one where Johnny Evans got a freekick for kicking Drogba in the chest when he should've been sent off. Don't think Fergie went mental over that game.

He did over the free kick awarded that resulted in the goal. Soft.

Except that your arguments for Atkinson "fucking you over" are strawman. Just name the decisions you believe were called incorrect by him. His performance on Saturday showed that he isn't biased towards us. If you think he is biased against you, I can bring up times to indicate the opposite if you like, no problem at all.

Hes not biased against us. Hes had some dodgy games when reffing for us. Both in our favour and against.

I am sure you can, as can I. For any ref and if I looked hard enough in almost any season. I can show bias towards any club you like or I can show bias against. Anything is possible if you provide the right information and leave out the stuff that doesnt fit in.....which is essentially what a conspiracy theory consist of.

I dont believe in any, I laugh and will take the piss out of anyone who does. For some the reality of things isnt enough, they need this crack pot underworld or dark arts and underhanded actions to get by. Whatever floats those peoples boats eh?

But yeh, any ref, any club for or against. Its easy. Infact any subject, any person, anything you want I can make a conspiracy about it. With or without 'evidence*'.

    * word used in the loosest possible way.

Completely laughable. Soft free-kicks, even non free-kicks, are given at least once a match to either side. Hardly a huge decision that the ref has to make. The free-kick wasn't even that close to the penalty box.

Anyway, do you have a video for that foul? I believe it was a debatable one that could have gone either way. So like I said, strawman.

United simply can't take losing or being 2nd best. They couldn't deal with being in Liverpools shadow, they couldn't deal with Arsenal and Chelsea's brief spells at the top and they can't deal with City being better than them, just as they couldn't deal with being outplayed by Spurs, Southampton and Everton in a 90 minute football game. It's wider inferiority complex the club seems to have

Against one of our biggest rivals I am sure these decisions hold more weight than usual.

You lot bang on about penalty decisions for example. No I wont provide examples but every decision United get against a team seems to live long in the memory. Well guess what, sometimes us United fans remember a few iffy decisions. Especially ones that lead to goals. Porto 2004 for example, dodgy dodgy dodgy. Not a conspiracy mind, no thats for nutters. Just a bad day for the ref.

    <laugh>

    Funny stuff DL.

It holds as much weight as me suggesting Chelsea cannot stand the fact that QPR, a small club in their eyes have the potential to compete with Chelsea. Reading on here I would suggest its the case but not being an idiot I know its not.

However it holds just as much weight as your comment.

    Exactly....hardly being 'screwed over'.

United not getting a 50/50 decision on a free kick and they scream blue murder. Highlights the problem perfectly. Thanks UIR!!!

Its exactly whats going on here.

People crying foul play over decisions.

Claims of corruption and a conspiracy over when United get them, nothing to see here when United dont get them.

Or when refs are demoted after United lose CONSPIRACY ( said like the corvonia advert ) and when it happens but doesnt involve United..... nothing to see here folks <ok>

I don't happen to buy into the conspiracies and United have more focus on them because they have been the biggest club for the past 2 decades.

Though I think Ferguson uses his status to put pressure on refs. Fergie time doesn't come from nowhere. With refs knowing fergie is sitting on the side lines with his stopwatch means they are more likely to allow an extra 30 second just to avoid any public bashing (and potential demotions). I'm not saying all refs will be swayed like this but it will have an impact here or there.

Fergie has slaughtered refs publically in the past and what ref wants that. I'm sure the impact is minimal but a few key decisions over the course of the season could be the difference between winning the title and not.

Oh I agree about Fergie using his stature to get what he wants. No denying this.

When managers come to him, player from other clubs ask himk for advice and the FA probably run things by him as he has possibly the greatest knowledge of the game it is of no surprise.

Your old manager Mr Jose calls him 'The Boss' because he is the boss of all coaches, the one they look up to, aspire to be. He has earned that status and if a few refs, managers, players etc get a little scared now and again its not his fault really. They should man up a little.

Nobody can deny the mans talent and achievements but he has done it by bullying people and those he couldn't he got rid of or ignored. Great manager arsehole of a man and widely hated.

UIR there is some interesting debate on the Spurs board re: United at the moment, why don't you pop over there and stay for a bit? <whistle>

Agree, greatest manager in English football ever probably. However it would be nice to see a little more humility from someone so sucessful.

How often does he lose a game and not blame the ref?....when he doesn't send the assistant out to answer the media that is.
