Not sure if its been discussed on here yet but I feel it's worth a mention.

I only posted this on here because the Stoke v Spurs game he reffed last season was probably the worst or 2nd worse (behind Clattenburg in the Merseyside Derby 2007) I've ever witnessed.

I thought Foy was awful in our game against QPR game but to be fair a lot of those decisions were subjective and 50/50. It seemed 50/50 decisions going in favour of one team rather than out and out incompetence as with your game. It seems United can criticise a referee and he is dropped but everybody else gets different treatment. Martinez spoke out against refereeing bias towards United and got fined.

It's worth noting that Clattenburg was the referee when City beat United 6-1 at Old Trafford. He hasn't refereed there since. Mike Dean was the referee when Blackburn beat United 3-2 at Old Trafford and hasn't there since. It's unlikely Foy will referee there again now as well.

It's amazing that people still deny there is no corruption or bias in the English game.

Its normal.

If you knew the way the referees work you would know this. I have learned in the past few hours how it works so its not hard DL.

Anyway Foy has 3 strikes, the United game was just 1 of those strikes plus he has reffed the most games so far this season in the PL along with Atkinson ( a manager who has ****ed United over and reffed games since, the same game he ****ed us in ) who also isnt reffing this weekend ( hes 4th official, probably a lower job than reffing a league 2 game imo ).

So no, no bias, no conspiracy. Stop acting like a Liverpool fan. Even the referees PR man is laughing at the Liverpool fans who were banging on about this hours before anyone else knew about it. Google it, Liverpool websites come up in their millions*

*possible slight exaggeration <laugh>
 
Following the Stoke debacle last season he took charge of two Premier League games in the next week.
The last time that he took charge of a non-Premier League or Championship game that wasn't a cup match was over a year ago (MK Dons v Huddersfield, 17/9/11).
He hasn't reffed a game in League Two since the 07/08 season.

Halsey was once demoted after refereeing a 5-0 boxing day win for United.

Maybe we had planned to score 6?

He had good games against Arsenal and Blackburn when we had him as ref and there was a list made of decisions he has given against us on JA I think it was, and going to the OP does it really have to be at OT, dont think we have had Clattenburg at all since the 6 1 but we have had Dean a couple of times and Foy had a decent game on saturday, it was just 1 penalty appeal that looked clear cut but hes view was blocked but as I said fair play to Spurs.

Seems that only one other ref has taken charge of both a Premier League game and a League Two game this season and that's Roger East, who's only been in charge of two PL games and one LT.
Of the 16 refs that have taken charge of PL games this season, only 4 have done LO games and even then they've only done one each.

Most if not all the refs currently listed as one of the 16 select Premier League referees has reffed a league 2 game at some point.

the 4 years since Foys last one suggests he was over due. Coupled with the fact hes reffed the most games in the PL and the 3 strikes thing reported by the media this is one of the worst, easiest to bust conspiracy theories ever.

Penn & Teller wouldnt even bother calling Bullshit!
 
No, it's not a normal thing and I've perfectly illustrated why it isn't.
Foy hasn't taken charge of a League Two game for over four years. That he suddenly has this marvelous 'opportunity' after reffing a home loss at Old Trafford is rather coincidental, isn't it?
Your insistence that being made 4th official is worse than being relegated 3 tiers is also completely untrue. That actually does happen almost every week.

Where has this three strikes thing come from and what was his third strike?

In their Blurb PGMO tell of their formation and function.


PGMO is the body responsible for the training and development of match officials operating in the professional game, as well as their appointment to matches in the Barclays Premier League, the Football League and Football League Cup competitions.
Established in 2001 to coincide with the employment of full-time referees, the organisation is operating with a list of 78 referees and 249 assistant referees during the 2012/13 season. PGMO provides the 16 Select Group referees and 32 Select Group assistant referees that operate in the Barclays Premier League.


But they don't say who or how many of them or the factors they use to choose the refs for Prem games, so UIR enlighten us mate?

Yes of course it's just coincidence... just a 1000/1 coincidence, like when Atkinson pissed Fergie off and went 12 months without a United game after having 6 in the previous 12 months where controversial decisions went for United.
 
Swarbrick's not a Premier League regular, YV.
He took charge of 11 PL games last season, his first in the division and has only done 1 in this campaign, which was Newcastle's 1-0 win over Norwich.
Couldn't pick him out of a line up.

Its normal for PL refs to occasionally referee league 2 games. You do know referees out rank 4th officials on the pitch, regardless of level. A 4th official does nothing really, holds up a board and erm........ yeh.

So being a ref in a football league ( professional standard of football ) match certainly is better than being a 4th official in a PL match. These people are paid to be a ref and I am sure thats what they would rather do.

Also what game is Foy being demoted to, a league 2 local derby? Why yes he is. Funny, imagine having an experienced referee in charge for a local derby.

You have illustrated **** all, if you had you wouldnt be here talking about it. You would be getting your evidence together and taking it to the press or whoever. Same as every other idiot who believes in this laughable conspiracy.

As for refs not reffing United games after Fergie criticises them.......Mark Clattenberg hasnt reffed a Liverpool game since september 2011 I believe ( not 100% sure, may of done on in the last few weeks ). Its not exactly uncommon for refs to go long periods without reffing certain teams. The reason? I dont know, do you? If you do please share.

The media are reporting the 3 strikes thing, you would have to ask the refs association for further information.

**** knows pal, everything I know about refs I have learned in the last few hours. Its very dull and nowhere near exciting enough to be a conspiracy.

Its nothing like the injecting babies at birth with brain control drugs, or the 9/11 stuff or people being lizards crap some people believe.
