Match Info:
Sunday 7th October
Southampton v Fulham (1.30pm)
Referee: M Clattenburg
Assistants: S Child, H Lennard
Fourth Official: P Dowd

Last Time They Met:

Last Weekends Games:
Everton 3-1 Saints - Despite taking an early lead after 6 minutes, Saints were pegged back quickly and conceded three goals with twelve minutes.
Fulham 1-2 Manchester City - Again, like Saints, having taken the lead Fulham couldn't hold on and conceded late goal from Edin Dzeko who scored with his first touch.

Predicted Score:
Southampton 2-2 Fulham
I can see Saints making a bright start before conceding a sloppy goal to give Fulham the lead. I think Saints will be 2-1 up by the 62nd minute and another sloppy Fulham goal will mean an equal share of the points.

Predicted Team:
My guess is that Hooiveld and Fox will be recalled, Rodriguez will drop to the bench and Puncheon will come back into the starting 11.

Gazzaniga
Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox
Davis, Ward-Prowse, Ramirez
Puncheon, Lambert, Lallana

Subs: Davis, Richardson, Yoshida, Cork, Mayuka, Lee, Rodriguez

Extra Notes:

More to follow

You are predicting Hoovield and Fox in and to revert to 433 with a flat midfield, Ramirez at LCM and Lallana LW infront of Ramirez? That won't ever happen in a million years. Very odd team 'prediction'

Could see a debut for the Holy Goalie.
From the interviews I can't see Morgan being fit enough to return so it will have to be Davis & JWP in the centre.

As for the return of Fox and reverting Clyne to the right. It's possible and I see the return of Punch for Jay Rod to be very likely.

Great test for saints against what is the benchmark of a solid premier league side. They don't traditionally travel well which could be to our advantage.

Pretty sure out formation is basically 4-3-3... I'm not into all the fancy 2-3-2-2-1 formations.

Also it was just the order I typed the names in.

Hooiveld is because I think Fulham will be a very physical side and it could be a big ask for Yoshida to be going up against Berbatov etc

We played 4231 against Villa with Ramirez in a free role, Lallana left and Puncheon right. Against Everton we played 4312 with Lallana LCM, Ramirez free role and Lambert and Rodriguez strikers... our formation isn't basically 433 by any means as of late..interesting you tried to be a smart arse with the 2-3-2-2-1 nonsense when you are the one thinking we've been constantly playing 433.

and it was a push to ever call it that before those 2 games as it was always more of a 451 other than the United game where it was pretty much out and out 433

We dealt with Villa well enough without Hoovield. They had Benkele and Bent up top.

Adkins will almost certainly go with 4231 if Schneiderlin is fit and play the same team as Villa 2nd half as we won the second half with it so comfortably. He only went 4312 against Everton as Schneiderlin was out.

The Referee was the same one that filled his notebook on Monday, West Ham picked up 8 bookings and QPR had a sending off.

Yoshida has been our best CB...... Yeah that's drop him.

Well they've both got lots of new players so he wanted some new autographs

Yes, that will teach him not to make our other players look bad.

Yep how dare he play well, think we should sell him in Jan tbh. Seaborne should be first choice he was world class against Shef.

It's a Tuesday the last I heard.

I wrote it at midnight last night before realising the mistake of the fact that we're playing on Sunday... <doh> for me.

Tiredness after a 20 hour shift! Was out of it...!
