Good job the discussion about the merits of various types of wit is on the off-topic thread, then.

That wasnt sarcasm, by the way. I was merely being facetious. Sooooo, the premature match thread......... ;)

Quoting Oscar Wilde is the ultimate mark of a moron who can't muster up a witty rebuttal. It's on the same level as a brainless insult.

How does misquoting him count? Michael DeJong, in an article for The Huffington Post, wrote a piece on “Sarcasm Month” and supplied a new misquote where he says, “as Oscar Wilde stated, Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence.’” it appears he didn’t say that either!

' To be fair' - an irritating and so over-used modern way of commencing a sentence, especially used by footballers when interviewed.

If we bring back Fox and drop Yoshida as RLGB suggests then Fulham won't need Berba.

Too busy typing up the thread for the West Ham game?

That is sarcasm! A good thread poster will always be doing research into a future posts, so no harm in that. Can you explain why there is a problem with creating a next match thread just after the previous game? I fail to understand the objections. Not everyone can be logging on as often as the regulars, so an opportunity to join the debate early doors may be useful to the casual poster.

We need some ITK data to talk about. How will a 1.30 p.m. kick off on a Sunday affect the game, I am a big fan of a 3 o'clock Saturday kick off and being messed about by the constant changes doesn't seem right to me. I also like a 7.45 p.m. Tuesday game at St. Marys, that always seems to bring out the best atmosphere, not sure why though.

Most Sunday lunch kick offs seem to lack atmosphere. Hope that doesn't happen this week. We need to get off to a quick start and keep Fulham on the back foot!
