Let's see who really appreciates the season we have had.

In my opinion MM must rate certainly in the top 3 if not the outright winner of Manager of the Season in the Championship this season.

Given the resources available to him, the uncertainty over ownership that has surrounded the club, his own lack of previous experience and the youth of his players he has done an incredible job this year.

When you look at the resources of other clubs and the experience of some of their managers, the players they have you wonder how we have achieved so much - missing out on the play offs in the last few games and been one of the top scoring clubs all season playing attractive football then you have to hand it to Malky

Well done Malky - you have my vote
 
Yes he has done a fine job. When you look at the nuber of clubs in League 1 who have bigger budgets than us it makes you appreciate him all the more.

My only fear is a "big fish" will come in for him with the owner saying "look what he did with just £10m". I gather that comment has been levelled at Billy Davies at Forest.
 
He has done a fantastic job with the situation being so unstable. Great play sometimes, youngsters coming through and getting better and hope of even more of the same next season.
 
He's got a midtable bunch of players into the midtable. He might not have large financial resources, but he clearly has a great academy at his disposal and players like Cowie and Graham being in the squad, you aren't exactly hard done by. Definitely not a strong challenger for manager of the season in my opinion, I'd rate Warnock (managed to gel a seemingly ungellable team) and Rodgers (great football from Swansea and hasn't spent that much) as the top two, Jackett and Lambert following, then maybe Mackay, Grayson (bearing in mind the kind of owners he's having to work with) and Cotterill (small squad, disharmony at the club).
 
Just because they only came up this year did not mean they were not expected to do well - a number of clubs have gone straight through from League One to the Prem. With a good, successful and confident squad most clubs up from League One are expected to finish in the top half. Warnock has just applied common sense to an expensive squad - he's done it before and will do it again but it must have been one of the easiest jobs he has had. BR took on a fairly successful side too

Watford on the other hand were favourites for relegation. If we had got into the play-offs with our finances, squad and off pitch troubles it would have been a fantastic achievement.
 
You are all wrong. With his painfully inaccurate insights and ability to pluck hindsight disaster from any slight success Garry has to be minger of the season.
