**** yeah! **** **** ****ing hell! So this is what winning at OT feels like. Where is lidl now? How many goals in how many games has Rooney got against us? How many years? Blah blah. What was the score sunshine?
Credit to you Spurs, I doubt any other team in the world would've survived that 2nd half onslaught. That's the United that teams used to be afraid of, fortunately for you, it only lasted for 50minutes (a long 50 minutes). Well done nonetheless.
And it would be wrong to compare a second half capitulation, which luckily didn't happen, to an absolute massacre. It would've been very embarrassing, but worse than that mauling? Possibly the worst result you've ever had.
Can I just - as a Spurs fan who has endured the full 23 years of horror in not beating United - add something at this juncture? Woo ****ing hoo! We did it! YEAH! Get the **** in, you beauties! Thank you for your time.
We can't have 2 pen claims etc etc held against us after the years of ref decisions ****ing us up. That was some kind of statement by AVB.
No team in the premier league can stop man utd playing for a full 90 minutes when scholes is in that type of form, so what do rival fans expect? we're 2-0 up having controlled and dominated the 1st half, went 2-1, but fought back to go 3-1 and then defended like our life depended on it to make sure we got the win. Even if utd had scored, no one could say the players bottled it, but we came out on top and deserved any luck that came our way.
"I actually had a dream we beat Man U 2-1. Sandro was at the center of the scene. He had a cut on his leg, just below his knee. I don't know if he scored the winner, got a red card, or drew one. ... " So maybe I woke up before it was over but in any case Nobody keeps Tottenham Hotspur winless in their stadium 24 years in a row!
I think Fergie should go and thank Spurs. Thats the United everyone knows and fears. If we can play like that for most games this season ( second half performance ) we will win the title. Sometimes we need a team to completely boss us and Spurs did so more than any other side this season. We had hit rock bottom at half time and thats what we needed. Cant celebrate a loss but can take so many positives and I hope its the kick up the arse we needed.
Isn't that a take on a tennis quote from someone that just beat jimmy Connors at like the 17th time of asking? Brilliant quote
