We've been linked to him pretty much every single transfer window since he left us but his contract is expiring in the summer and I wonder whether he could still do a job.

He's still just 30 so he's not ready to retire for a few years and as we know he can play at left back, left wing and for boro has played in the middle.

Personally I'd take him! Maybe not as a first choice but he would be a very decent backup. He may have lost some of his pace but he won't have lost his technical class and has gained 5 years worth of experience since leaving us.

Also on a side note there seems to be some decent bosman transfers in the summer. We've been continuously linked to Seb Larsson and although he has been seen as a hit and miss character, he can't half put in a good set piece, which for me is one of the weakest points in our game. I can't remember the last time we scored from a corner or from a whipped in freekick despite having players like Turner and Bramble lingering in the box.
 
I ain't seen him play for ages, but the last time i did, he looked like he didn't have the legs.

I don't know any Boro fans to ask, but i think it's more romance than reality.

I ****ing loved Julio mind, remember when he equalized against Arsenal in the 90th, he went ****ing nuts, he loved it here, ****ing shame the standard around him fell away so badly.

Nah appears to have the odd decent game for the boro but that doesnt mean s**t.
But the only player to have graced the back of my shirt!
 
Love the guy - I think there'll always be a Hoolio-o! for him on Wearside, but his form of late and the last 2-3 seasons hasn't been great, no.

maybe arca is just being wasted in a ****e team,
sure he could play a role somewhere for safc, even if it is as sub, we need someone for the l/b and l/w, and then we need cover for them,
 
I'm related to Boro fans (me mam's from that neck of the woods) who still rate him. I'd take him back as cover still think he could do a job just not for 90 mins.
 
Despite being given negative reputation and being called a twat; I still wouldn't take him back, he'd offer absolutely nothing.

Cheeky bastard.
 
Scored the other night but, listening to the Legends on the way home from work and the Boro fans on there always blame him for anything that goes wrong. A good player when we had him but well past it now and you should never go back to an old club can't think of anyone it has worked for, so a big fat NO!
