Seen this before and its previously been said that there is nothing in this that he has agreed a deal nor is it a reliable source.
Pretty sure that fella from the mirror is fairly reliable when it comes to city, perhaps someone can confirm but I'm sure he's quite a good record of being right
Arca is one of the boro larkers on big bucks still. The last of the Premiership wages. Great player, but getting on a bit now. Not sure he has played much at DL since he left the Mackems
Thought so kccircle, but a very good player nonetheless. I think he said somewhere he'd be prepared to take a wage cut, but i guess if that was the case he'd stay with boro.
http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/tran...n-list-all-the-players-available-for-free-in- There are some very interesting names on this list. Not sure if some of them have signed new contracts or not to date but Phillips, Gera, Fuller, Cox and Kightly could all be very good signings if they were willing to move down a league. Cox, Fuller and Phillips all very rarely get a game for their clubs now?
Interesting that, although a lot of them are going to either disappear abroad, retire or are already at their new clubs on loan (eg Carew) Simon Cox from West Brom is a good striker at Championship level and Jason Roberts is still banging them in in the Prem. Nigel Reo-Coker would be excellent midfield general Captain material, but I'm sure he'll get picked up by a "new" premiership side like DQPR. David Murphy would be a very useful left back replacement for Daws.
Aye Fuller would do a right job for us. Ideal targetman we're after, he'll want fairly big money though, would be his last major contract.
Jason Roberts has to be the worst excuse for a striker I have ever had the discomfort of seeing. He is a dirty cheating bully who should never achieve the honour of pulling on a Hull City shirt. I just don't like the guy!
Reo-Coker will want too much in wages. Both Roberts and Fuller are aging and will want fairly high wages which will likely mean NP won't touch them. However within the pack there seems a fair few bargains to be had. Salifou from Villa won't want excessive wages and can cover across the midfield. James McFadden wouldn't be a bad acquisition as a left winger. Steinsson at Bolton would be a fantastic replacement for Dawson, however I imagine a Premier League club will snap him up. Other suitable targets: Lee Bowyer Pascal Chimbonda Tamir Cohen Zoltan Gera Diomansy Kamara Giles Barnes Simon Cox Victor Obinna Daniel De Ridder Michael Knightly
Lee Bowyer - tosser Pascal Chimbonda - released a few weeks ago by QPR after making just 2 sub appearances since signing in January Simon Cox - attitude Michael Kightly (I assume) - major injury concern having been out for over a year
Lee Bowyer - Without Ashbee we miss a player like him, even though he is a ****er. Pascal Chimbonda - A trial maybe? Only a couple of seasons ago he was doing great in the Premiership. Simon Cox - Personally I've never heard anything about his attitude, what I do know though he can score goals. Michael Kightly - Worth a shot? Yes he's been out injured however he was one of Wolves' key players before his injury and still remains a good player.
Bowyer - would still do a job and a good one at that Chimbonda - must have something about him to be at Spurs and Blackburn, even if QPR didn't rate him. Yeovil didn't rate Stewart and Leicester didn't rate Fryatt but look what happened there. Cox - attitudes not brilliant but I still wouldn't complain if we landed him on a free. worth a punt. Kightly - Not necessarily an injury concern after one long term one - don't know if he's got a history of injuries?
Chimbonda is supposed to be going to TWS, he's fallen out with everyone he's every played for, so they're welcome to him(he's a bit porky now too).
It's appeared on a few of the rumour sites and been discussed on several Leeds forums, I think the story originated in one of the tabloids: http://www.motforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22682
Jesus, forum full of foreign fans speculating about players they've probably seen play five times in the white shirt maximum. And I thought the quality of posters on not606 was bad. Chimbonda looks alright, we certainly need someone versatile and experienced. Doesn't really matter that much if he's packing timber, I'm not expecting him to go on marauding runs, that's what's cost us too many goals this season - full backs out of position thinking they're wingers.
