I've analysed all of the games left from the teams currently in 9th (Mags) to 15th (Birmingham) and I'm afraid that I get us finishing somewhere between 12th & 14th. So, no top 10 finish and no real improvement on last season. I know we've had terrible injuries (caused by rushing players back IMHO) but that's a little disappointing, especially with our neighbours possibly finishing in 9th!

This is how I think it'll finish:
9th Toon
10th West Brom
11th Villa
12th Fulham
13th SAFC
14th Stoke
15th Birmingham

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we'll need 2 wins & a draw for top 10.

What does everyone else think? Where do you think we'll finish?

I did the predictor thing and had us finishing 9th and the Toon 10th, i tried to be honest with how i'd see it going, but if i knew the results, i'd hoy a quid on and be a millionaire.

If you need 2 wins and a draw to get top 10, it won't be Newcastle, 4 games to go and away trips to Liverpool and Chelsea. Though I agree about the 2 wins and a draw, thats why we will be bottom half now.

I don't care mate, just happy that we are probably safe now. Our season has been shot to **** for the last 3 months due to the well documented reasons posted on here.

Another season written off and we try again next season.

I reckon we'll do something like this:

Fulham (H) WIN
Bolton (A) LOSE
Wolves (H) WIN
West Ham (A) DRAW

I quite like Wolves so it would be a shame if we relegated them but that's football. But I would kill to see us send West Ham and their chuckle brother owners down!! They are the Mags of London lol "too big to go down"...yeah right. And we'll take Scott Parker of your hands too thank you very much ;)

League position's out of our hands now. We can win our remaining four games, but if the five teams above us win them as well, we'll not move an inch. There's not much we can do about it. So I'd like us to use the remaining games as constructively as possible.

I hope we'll play all our players in their proper positions and find out just how good or bad they are. Once we know that, we'll have a much clearer idea of what to buy and sell. It's been a bad season, so let's get a clear picture of what we have and what we still need, and make sure next season isn't another. That's all we can do now.

That's impossible, if we win ALL our remaining games then that means Bolton lose one.

I think you guys will be above us by the end of the season. We've been the better team this year (2011) but the points you guys racked up over the first half of the season will pay off in climbing above and making sure that you aren't relegated.

Welder - I think you might just have a point there - dozey sod, I am! But you get my meaning - if the clubs above us get as many points as us over the four games, we can't move.

Too much sun was it Cuteybuns?

Er ... that and just the odd tot of rum, mate. Last night, I felt certain I'd put sugar in my coffee, but couldn't taste it. I found the spoonful of sugar a little later - in the bloody Oxo gravy! True. Thank god Welder's on here to keep me right.

I can't be sure but I think one of the Mags has tagged this as altered aspirations...

If that's the case it's pretty funny.

Had they altered their aspirations two years ago, like we are now, they'd have found themselves concentrating on fighting relegation and not expecting to be in the champions league the following year.

Yeah, I did the predictor and finished us in 9th place too.

How we are going to achieve this withour injurylist leads me to believe a did the predictor wearing red and white specs.

My relegation trio are Wigan, West Ham and Blackpool - Wolves and Blackburn escaping the drop on goal difference

It's interesting to see that nobody's chosen above 9th, I wonder how many of us will have chosen that in December?

Oh ye of little faith. I still haven't given up hope of us winning the Premiership if they bring in the alternative voting system. We may not win on the first ballot but I'm sure we will walk it when they see that the Mags have all put us as their second choice.

Yeh get your thinking but i just think that Bolton may slip up, if we can get something out of the game, they still have to play Man City, Newcastle have a dodgy run in as well. 9th & 10th places are still up for grabs IMO.
