News is circulating that Bernie Ecclestone may have given Eddie Jordan inside knowledge on upcoming seat changes in F1. Including that of 7 time World Champion Michael Schumacher's rumours of a second retirement.
But could it be that Bernie (the sly old dog he is), is causing chaos and confusion in his own world, to increase publicity?

There is also speculation that Michael may also move to Sauber,

I remember these certain (oldish) articles expressing how Peter credited Michael in F1 at present, and that he felt "bad" for him in 2012.

Could Peter Sauber be softening up to the idea of bringing back the driver he helped into the sport into the first place? Sauber are getting much better at the moment, and their softness on tyres may be the onus of success next year if development stays at the rate it is at.

Time will tell. What do you think?

Anyway, back to your point…
–Yes, I believe it's quite possible that Ecclestone is up to his old tricks, deliberately provoking guess-work. He's a very shrewd old chap and doesn't miss a chance to raise F1's profile when he gets the slightest sniff of opportunity.

It is also quite feasible that Sauber is genuinely interested in Schumacher; especially with the possibility of Hamilton going to Mercedes – a story I have done my utmost to avoid, so far, for the very same reason: that I have wondered if it was nothing more than a very well-baked Eccles cake!

Whether Ecclestone conceived of an overall master-plan or not, one thing's for sure: he wins whichever way the cookie crumbles…

It would make sense for Schumacher to end his career with Sauber, as he is the man who started his (Schumacher) motorsport career back when MSC still sported a mullet and dodgy 'tache.
 
Yes, an article of mine that Cosicave enjoyed, lets rejoice!! But yes, all you guys are right.

Sauber will gain a publicity boost, Michael is going back to where he started, and Bernie may be confusing the F1 world for fun.

Despite our differences of opinion about your hero, EMSC, I have consistently maintained that you add value to this forum – especially when you keep things well-balanced, like this.
 
On hearing this story, it seems to me quite likely that Bernie cooked the whole thing up for a lot of free publicity for F1, courtesy of EJ's big mouth.

Unless Bernie has been told by Fuller to shush about Hamilton's "move", and try and switch the attention elsewhere.

I can't quite imagine Simon Fuller telling Bernie what to do but what do I know? I think they're both making the most of the silly season though.
 
I would love the idea of Schumacher proving the WDC for the boss that gave him a hand into the sport. What a dream.
