Is that really all there is to it? What are the typical views/actions of a sandal wearer? Who is "that guy" on the Fatboy Slim album? There are so many unanswered questions.
You're not answering my questions. It's almost as if you're avoiding them because you don't have a decent answer. Are you afraid I'll make you look silly?
I think all this banter is hilarious, people are entitled to their opinion of course but some seem to have forgotten what the definition of being a "supporter" is, here's an extract from Wiki as a reminder...

It is quite obvious we have the worst defence in the premier league. Gervinhio scored twice against us that's embarrassing I'm just glad chamakh wasn't playing cause if he had scored as well then i would of started supporting Pompey.
gomarchinin was a Southampton grandee on BBC606, under a succession of different names.
Along with some others, some of whom (that are still going on here) I can't believe haven't worked out who he is, he was a regular visitor to the Pompey board and gave as good as he got.
He always gets really annoyed when Southampton lose and even when I, a Pompey fan, used to tease him he took it in good faith.
I can vouch that gomarchingin is as loyal a Southampton fan as you could wish to meet.
Did it ever occur to some of you that passion comes out in different ways?

For some passion comes out as hooliganism and you wouldn't defend that. Just because it's "different" doesn't mean it's good - if his tosh on here today was "passion" then I really do pity him. Well, I pity him anyway, but I'd pity him in a different way.
Fair comment about hooligans. I guess that's as far down the line as you can go re passion!
I'm not saying that how gomarchingin goes about it, is right or good, certainly not my way of expressing things. It's just I know there's more to him than what most people think. He used to come on the Pompey board and give us the right runaround and some of it was very funny.
He's just upset that things aren't going well and, it's not my place to say, but don't you think some of the substance of his comments actually hold a fair bit of water.
Yeah some the stuff he says is right, and the people making personal insults towards him are nasty. Taking their anger out on him rather than the team because they can't be seen to criticise Adkins or the team.

Unfortunately passion is not the word I would use for some of the comments. Once again people are letting their feelings run away with themselves and resort to vitriol. Which is such a shame some have the art of debate others sadly do not, but will eventually learn.
Gomarchingin, yes I do remember who he was on the old 606 and yes I certainly remember he was more than capable of looking after himself on here. He most certainly is an ardent Saints fan, he is also one of their biggest critics at times. This should not be mistaken though for anything else but passion for the club. As I, like you Meowth know him of old........
That was my point. Barry is passionate about his club amidst his anger at defeat, where other people are reacting to that, with a passion that is less than savoury.
