I'm getting very sick of seeing players feigning head injuries, too.
A number of them did it tonight, with the only legitimately hurt player virtually ignoring his blow and getting up almost immediately.
Something has to be done about it, as officials might start to ignore potentially dangerous problems, thinking that it's just more acting.
 
Being an ex Rugby player, I hate all this poncey play acting. It kind of reminds me of something my Grandad used to say if i whined after he gave me a belt round the earhole. " if you don't shut up, I'll give you something to cry about"

Is that because it has become so normal it's now part of the game. Players running out of options dive, players who are defending and in danger of losing it dive, forwards who have just pushed the ball too far ahead of them dive. When teams are under pressure to score forwards angle for a penalty shout and dive. In this game we have just seen, how many yellows, issued and how many actual fouls were there that really merited it?

What have they done to football with their tinkering with the rules!

I just don't have enough time in my life left to sit here and write all i saw that was wrong tonight! Woeful.

Did anyone spot Oxocube's mascot who he had to go onto the pitch with....the kid was a giant, they were the same height! <laugh> When the camera went along the lineup during the anthems the mascot was stood in front of each player, you could barely see the tops of the kids heads as it went from one end to the other for Ukraine, but for England they missed Oxo out, you wouldn't have seen him anyway!

Uncle Woy didn't see a problem

Frank Lampard's late penalty salvaged a point for an understrength England to leave them second in Group H.

Dyer can tie sterlings boots for him when he gets a few more years under his belt. Dyer aint fit to tie them right now but he can be if he can keep working hard.

Atm, Walcott, Lennon and co are off form, your twat has played one and a half league games, Dyer was one of the 'best of the rest' wingers last season and continued in the first couple of games in this one.

Everytime you come here you demonstrate how little you know!

At this moment in time, Dyer is twice the player Sterling is with far more experience to boot.
 
Spurs players in Europe.

Lloris - did what he had to, beaten only by a pen rebound
JD - scored, but disallowed, usual l/striker performance
Vertonghen - played at LB in a 1-1 draw.
Dembele - played up front as VdV did for us, just in behind. Tough opponents, but needed a goal from a defender despite the names on display.
Bale - great f/kick, spoiled by poor defending particularly their 3rd sliding to ground far too soon gifting the opportunity to his opponent.
Sig - Started brightly, but Iceland lost to Cyprus.
Walker - No minutes...again!

Others

Ade - no info. the next acon game is october, don't know if he has returned or whether they had a friendly. Same for Benny.
Sandro - Not involved in 8-0 win over depleted China, Damiao dropped in favour of Hulk.
Dempsey - Played 90mins in the return v Jamaica, won 1-0. The only report I found said he wasn't at his best, misplacing fancy flicks and backheels. His best contribution, this...probably describing his own performance!

Yes, I had wondered if somebody would dig this up. Wel done, but it's about all you'll find - unlike football!! You may also recall that the player in question was following his coach's orders. You may also remember that both, especially Richards, paid a heavy penalty. Again, unlike football.

Apart from maybe the England coaches who switched balls during a match at the last RWC
Or the Scots using a laser-guided tee for kicking
Or players taking a line-out that is clearly throwing the ball towards their teammates (Australia especially)
Or those not rolling out of the way at the tackle
Or players chasing the ref around the pitch - just like they do at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge
Or stamping at the scrum

There's plenty of cheating in rugby, be it the petty stuff in most games (such as punting the ball as far down the pitch as possible for a free kick, or blocking, or the clearly angled line-outs), to the nasty (stomping, the sly punch or elbow) to stuff that's clearly been arranged by the coaches before the game (the blood capsule, the ball switching, the laser-guided tee FFS!)

Yes, very interesting. However, also totally irrelevant to the original comment, which was about feigning injury.

You seem to have drifted far away from the original subject in some desperate attempt to score a point. It's a professional sport, nowadays. Of course there is cheating. Name a professional sport where is doesn't exist. The original comment was about players feigning injury. You seem to be determined to ignore that, and try to score points elsewhere.
