No, he doesn't. This is what he is best at and i think he should do it more often. Far too often he tries to be a footballer and it doesn't come off. Use your pace and dribbling ability Aaron!
% of the time I've seen Lennon obviously, over a decent enough sample of games. Without nitpicking, the point still stands. They are far too similar "options", so Roy would be right to pick only the one he thinks is better at it, or is in better form.
Can we stop calling him Woy please? I'm not sure its entirely called for, a bit like people calling Harry "twitchy".
Not entirely similar though, Spurm. One's a minor speech impediment and a fairly affectionate nickname, whereas the other's a cheap dig at an involuntary reaction caused by an accident which killed several people. I like Hodgson. Seems like a nice guy with a genuine passion for the game, regardless of any failings he might have. Walcott's out through illness, by the way. The Lennon comparisons are irrelevant.
I mean its taking the piss out of something that isn't within the person's control. Roy can't help his speech impediment and Harry can't help his twitch. Twitchy is worse than Woy though i agree, but i didn't have any other similar ones. I'm sure people with speech impediments don't find Woy particularly funny
@ PNP Come on Spurm lighten up, you'll be asking Ginger Pele to drop the ginger incase it causes offence next.
don't worry lads. I'm cool with it all. Don't hold back on my account, just thought it was a bit un-called for in this case as i think Hodgson has done a decent job thus far with england and he seems like a decent bloke. Enough now. Carry on! Edit - oh, and the apology was not for having a view, but for unlightening the thread, which i undoubtebly did
I know that's what's been reported in the media Notso, but I'm not sure it's correct. Carrick did the same, but he's in the squad and played a half against Moldova. Hodgson's comments suggest that he won't select Crouch as a standby again, but will put him into the squad, if he feels his selection's warranted. "I selected him for the Euros but he didn't want to come." "He made it clear that unless he was in the squad he didn't want to be considered." "As a result, we've selected squads since that time when I felt I didn't need him here. I'm not going to bring him here to fill up the bench. The day Crouch gets in the England squad is when I think he should be in the original 23."
