.You can't get away that easily mate! He was given a chance last season and he fu*ked it up, culminating with his Fulham disgrace.
Its as crystal clear as mountain dew: Until you've proved yourself at the top level then you can't be regarded as a top level player.

He was definitely prem class when finally given a run in the team in the last third of the season. He made the step up and showed he could do it, he has nothing to prove to me. If I was put on the spot now he'd be in my 1st XI, and he'd be a joy to watch. Every player needs time to adjust when stepping up a level, but the only way they can do that is minutes on the pitch. You don't drop a player after 1 or 2 bad games in a row, you persevere and let them find their feet. I don't try to wriggle out of any debate penknife, you should know that by now. No one can say Adel has been given a real good run to shine in the premiership. Whether it's us or another team who offer it, they will be rewarded with a wonderful talent........
Just like the rest of the Taarabt worshippers, you seem to blank out what happened last season when he was given that opportunity. He wasn't dropped after one or two bad games in a row as you say. He was given umpteen opportunities. Time and time again, Warnock played him even though he was getting nothing but back-chat, stroppiness and terrible play in return. The Manager continued to give him chances (even though I would have dropped him long before that) yet he showed that he couldn't play at that level and ultimately disgraced himself by storming out of Craven Cottage and saying he wanted to leave the Club and openly courted other teams.
So you say no-one can say he wasn't given a real good run but in fact many of us are saying that because he was! Some of us said at the start of last season that he'd struggle at this level and with two goals and not much else after an entire season to show for it, unfortunately we were proved correct.
And finally, you'll only get a good run in a side when you've proven you deserve it. You don't have an automatic entitlement to start in a side just because you had one good season at a Mickey Mouse level two years ago. If that was the case, every one-trick pony and one-season wonder from that God-awful division would be playing in the top flight every week. And you certainly don't deserve a run in the side if you're carrying on like a spoiled brat who's had his soother taken from him.
He has to put his head down and prove to the Manager that he's worth starting and then when his chance comes, he must take it. Until then, he's just another also-ran as far as I'm concerned.

I think I sense a little jealousy here penknife. It seems that you maybe don't have anything in life that you excel in, and here's a person who you feel has all this talent, but can't be ar*ed to make the most of it. That must be why you have all this pent up frustration. It's making you start to jumble your answers up. One minute you're saying he's had his chance and failed to make the grade, the next you're saying he has to wait for his chance, and then prove he's good enough!! Which is it penknife? You may need a rest before replying, save any clumsy contradictions......

Yes of course, because Scott Parker is an attacking midfielder comfortable playing all across the midfield or behind a lone striker!! If you're going to pluck players out of the air at least choose one with a similar style, not a completely different one.....
Messi has a simular style to Taarabt but he scored 80+ goals last season

Just a difference of opinion soopermack, don't read too much into it. Adel isn't exactly a model footballer and he hasn't set the PL alight (yet) so you can understand the arguments against. He may come good but at the moment we just don't have a good enough team at this level to give him a free role, which is really what he needs.
I seem to remember you posting that no player outside the top 5 could make as much of a contribution...or words to that effect...And would do it in the Championship, or am i just imagining it. SP is not in what is considered a top 5 side and would, does and has contributed more than T..?
There are very few even in the top 5 sides quite simply because it doesnt work in the Prem anymore......? The skill level, tactics and level of defending is far higher...he scored 20 goals against a bunch of terrible defenders, now he's been found out...oh wait i posted this 18 months ago...!
He scored 2 good goals last season, and the Arsenal one was my fav, but he cant handle the strength, pace and knowledge of those he up against now...well not yet anyway..maybe in years to come..?
So take Adel out of that team along with his 19 goals and 15 assists. Then replace him with Scott Parker. Do you honestly think we'd have gone up that year? My opinion is one of a resounding no......

Think you could prob say the same about Derry, Hill, Faurlin, Mackie.....etc...T was the showpiece whilst the rest did the hard work...but where as they managed to continue into the prem...just..T flopped....!!

If you took Adel out of that team, we wouldn't have gone up, full stop. We probably wouldn't have even made the play offs.
Our team that year had 10 very average players and 1 brilliant talent who won us game after game on his own. You can not say that about Shaun Derry or Paddy Kenny.
Ask Norwich or Swansea or even Cardiff fans what they thought of our team from that year and I am sure they will all confirm the player thay had most respect for was Taarabt. He was the talk of the league that year. More so than any other Championship player before him or since. If people think Ricky Lambert had a similar impact last season, that tells you what they know. His team didn't even win the league. Thats how good Ricky effin Lambert was. Because parts of our fan base don't like him or think he is sulky, they couldn't even vote him player of the year for his brilliant performances all year. No, they voted Paddy bloody Kenny instead. The player who has just left (shoved out by Sparky) and proceeded to give the two fingers to all the QPR fans and call us tinpot. How clever are we??? Are you all happy with Paddy now??? He wasn't fit to lace Adel's boots that season and now, isn't even fit to clean them.
Some of our so called fans need to get a grip. We don't deserve Adel with the attitude of some of the people on this thread. Acricketer, your post is an absolutely unbelieveable. One of the nastiest pieces of writing I have witnessed on this messageboard, ever. Talk about personally insulting one of your own players. If it was Joey Barton, I could kind of understand but Adel, "no sense of professionalism or responsibility. A liability". That is pure vile and nasty. You should hang your head in shame for your contribution. If I thought that about any of our players, I would have the grace to **** off and support some other club.
To say his season CULMINATED with him walking out at Fulham is just laughable and totally untrue. The game at Fulham was in October 2011. In March and April 2012 of the same season he was pivotal in winning us games against Arsenal and Tottenham. The season culminated after 2 months???
Thats all I have to say on the matter. If Adel has any sense, he should get the hell out of QPR because a minority of people at this club will never appreciate his talent. I am pleased to say, I am not one of them.

I need say no more on this subject, for it is all in this post. We are all not without our faults, but alas some will only ever choose to dwell on others without ever looking at the positives. Of course Adel can be frustrating and have poor games like many others but, unlike many others, he has the ability to produce that little bit of magic. Some point out that he's only had one good season, what they fail to realise is he's only had 1 full playing season....
Adel might not be a model professional but to call him an unintelligent footballer is ridiculous. What do you think it takes to do all those tricks and technical control of a ball then be able to play a ball that often others don't read..........yep speed of thought!!!!!

Those who constantly make deluded excuses for Adel and 'big him up' should use this simple rule of thumb - Harry Redknapp, a shrewd judge of players, got shot of him fairly quickly, and if 'Arry can't get the best out of him no-one will. Warnock indulged him and knew that he could get away with it in the Championship, it just doesn't work at the Premier League level. Look at Berbatov at ManUre, a proven top talent with sublime skills but a similar stinking attitude to Adel.
You can tell the true worth of a player by the number of big clubs sniffing around him, the real talent have all the big clubs falling over themselves to sign them, like Eden Hazard. There isn't a very big queue at Adel's door and if he continues with the primadonna attitude he'll be another great talent that was destroyed by his own stupidity. I think it was Eamon who said last year that he has the 'maturity' of a twelve-year-old and he'll never be any different, sadly, that seems to be spot-on...
