Super, i don't think anyone is making deluded excuses, the point im making is that not one qpr player has played consistently well while in the premier league. Why is Taraabt always our scapegoat? Was it his fault we lost 5-0 to swansea or drew to norwich or lost to city?? If managers can't manage players then don't hand them new contracts!!

That was what my thread was originally about bob, before it turned into rage against the taraabt...

Those who constantly make deluded excuses for Adel and 'big him up' should use this simple rule of thumb - Harry Redknapp, a shrewd judge of players, got shot of him fairly quickly, and if 'Arry can't get the best out of him no-one will. Warnock indulged him and knew that he could get away with it in the Championship, it just doesn't work at the Premier League level. Look at Berbatov at ManUre, a proven top talent with sublime skills but a similar stinking attitude to Adel.

You can tell the true worth of a player by the number of big clubs sniffing around him, the real talent have all the big clubs falling over themselves to sign them, like Eden Hazard. There isn't a very big queue at Adel's door and if he continues with the primadonna attitude he'll be another great talent that was destroyed by his own stupidity. I think it was Eamon who said last year that he has the 'maturity' of a twelve-year-old and he'll never be any different, sadly, that seems to be spot-on...

More holes than a Swiss cheese, this post. I would like to be able to say that the only players in this world who are any good were coached by Harry redknapp, or mentioned by him to be good. Unfortunately for me i have a brain and my own mind......

His 'supporters' claim he is a match-winning difference to our team, sadly, I haven't seen too much of that magic since promotion. Fitting him into a team that has fragility is high-risk and, to date, hasn't worked out. One great goal against the Arses and a lucky free-kick against the Spuds doesn't add up to much and the balance of the team often suffers to accommodate him. He just seems incapable of consistency which is vital at this level. MH is not going to indulge him and if he can't get the message he will be the loser...

This is my point Sooper! So why give him the bumper new contract and the coveted number 10 shirt if that is the situation??

The difference at Spurs was that he was amongst many talented players who also put in more than flashy step-overs and the occasional party-piece at the top level, not against Championship cart-horses. Adel is the classic big fish in a little pond type player who, when up against the best, just hasn't cut it despite having the talent...

Clearly MH has seen the potential, Adel's attitude is the problem. I'm not denying Adel's talent, just totally pissed off that it is going to waste and a manager can only take so much...

Maybe I was caught up in all the transfer activity that I missed the stories relating to his attitude this season?

MH knows he has talent and wants him to succeed. Adel still needs to grow up and fit into the team ethic, and there has been improvement. If MH can harness that then he could be great for us.

As far as a new contract is concerned ..... If the club hadn't extended his contract then he would have been off, but after last year his value is bugger all compared to what was offered 13 months ago.

Give him a new contract, give him the No 10, work with him and try to get the best out of him. If it works then his value soars. Then when someone comes knocking they can get a good price for him. If it doesn't work then he'll be gone in the summer.

What a load of crap...
lets settle this easily..

If he has so much talent and would walk into any team in the prem etc....blah blah blah.....why hasnt he delivered in the last 16 months or so......

Why did no-one rush in to buy him in close season and why has MH very rarely used him......?

Because he aint up to it yet....... God all this arse licking stuff is embarrasing...

Makes us look like a 2-bit club relying on some wanna be...Granero has just turned up, in a new league, new country, new team etc.....and he's delivered...why hasnt T?
This is now becoming embarrasing for the Tarbs worshippers...what has he given you to worship in the last few games...?

Get a grip.....!!..hillariously stupid responses defending someone who has done, achieved and given nothing for us as a prem club !!

Just like the rest of the Taarabt worshippers, you seem to blank out what happened last season when he was given that opportunity. He wasn't dropped after one or two bad games in a row as you say. He was given umpteen opportunities. Time and time again, Warnock played him even though he was getting nothing but back-chat, stroppiness and terrible play in return. The Manager continued to give him chances (even though I would have dropped him long before that) yet he showed that he couldn't play at that level and ultimately disgraced himself by storming out of Craven Cottage and saying he wanted to leave the Club and openly courted other teams.

So you say no-one can say he wasn't given a real good run but in fact many of us are saying that because he was! Some of us said at the start of last season that he'd struggle at this level and with two goals and not much else after an entire season to show for it, unfortunately we were proved correct.

And finally, you'll only get a good run in a side when you've proven you deserve it. You don't have an automatic entitlement to start in a side just because you had one good season at a Mickey Mouse level two years ago. If that was the case, every one-trick pony and one-season wonder from that God-awful division would be playing in the top flight every week. And you certainly don't deserve a run in the side if you're carrying on like a spoiled brat who's had his soother taken from him.

He has to put his head down and prove to the Manager that he's worth starting and then when his chance comes, he must take it. Until then, he's just another also-ran as far as I'm concerned.

Chicken Nuggets, Coleslaw Fries and Large Sprite please.

Swords! You seem to focus on a few poor games Adel had in October last season. He got dropped as a result. But, both earlier in the season he was brilliant, rattled the woodwork with shots from distance many times, and he also played very well when he came back in December. MH even got him working back, and he played many very good games at the end of last season. With the possible exception of Granero he is obviously our most creative player still now- we need to use him to open up defenses, win games, and put bums on seats. Leave out players like him and rely on workhorses only, and we'll see Loftus Rd a third empty again for home games, and away support will drop towards Fulham levels.

If you took Adel out of that team, we wouldn't have gone up, full stop. We probably wouldn't have even made the play offs.

Our team that year had 10 very average players and 1 brilliant talent who won us game after game on his own. You can not say that about Shaun Derry or Paddy Kenny.

Ask Norwich or Swansea or even Cardiff fans what they thought of our team from that year and I am sure they will all confirm the player thay had most respect for was Taarabt. He was the talk of the league that year. More so than any other Championship player before him or since. If people think Ricky Lambert had a similar impact last season, that tells you what they know. His team didn't even win the league. Thats how good Ricky effin Lambert was. Because parts of our fan base don't like him or think he is sulky, they couldn't even vote him player of the year for his brilliant performances all year. No, they voted Paddy bloody Kenny instead. The player who has just left (shoved out by Sparky) and proceeded to give the two fingers to all the QPR fans and call us tinpot. How clever are we??? Are you all happy with Paddy now??? He wasn't fit to lace Adel's boots that season and now, isn't even fit to clean them.

Some of our so called fans need to get a grip. We don't deserve Adel with the attitude of some of the people on this thread. Acricketer, your post is an absolutely unbelieveable. One of the nastiest pieces of writing I have witnessed on this messageboard, ever. Talk about personally insulting one of your own players. If it was Joey Barton, I could kind of understand but Adel, "no sense of professionalism or responsibility. A liability". That is pure vile and nasty. You should hang your head in shame for your contribution. If I thought that about any of our players, I would have the grace to **** off and support some other club.

To say his season CULMINATED with him walking out at Fulham is just laughable and totally untrue. The game at Fulham was in October 2011. In March and April 2012 of the same season he was pivotal in winning us games against Arsenal and Tottenham. The season culminated after 2 months???

Thats all I have to say on the matter. If Adel has any sense, he should get the hell out of QPR because a minority of people at this club will never appreciate his talent. I am pleased to say, I am not one of them.

So laughably bad it needs to be deleted......Im of to support someone else because i dont grovel to a player that cant cut it...!!byeeeeee..lol

I think with all these rants you're making, and hatred you're venting, it seems only you who is becoming ridiculous and laughable on here. Your opinion is your own so stop trying to force it upon others so aggressively!! It only makes you look like a narrow minded, vindictive fool......

I could say the exact thing about you. You and I were having a debate yet you turned it a bit personal mate:

I think I sense a little jealousy here. It seems that you maybe don't have anything in life that you excel in, and here's a person who you feel has all this talent, but can't be ar*ed to make the most of it. That must be why you have all this pent up frustration.

I'm not bothered at all, its all good Mack! Just wanted to point out the contradiction :p

Listen little boy..i was posting this same stuff 2 years ago..I knew T would not deliver in the prem..got loads of ****e from his arse lickers but he hasnt...so..It is you thAT MUST ACCEPT WHAT A FEW OF US HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG...HE AINT GOOD ENOUGH...YET.

He has done nothing in the prem to justify your love for him and has been out to shame by many very average defenders ( and robbie savage).!

Stop kissing his arse and look at what he done, goals scored, mins played etc..... He's a wanna be...

I REALLY DO WISH he would prove me wrong..but in 16 months he aint yet....how long should i wait

As for the rest of your stupid post...i wont take offence, just laugh at you, everytime another average player rubs his head in the mud...

As for narrow minded, I now live in Aus, love Spanish and German football, happily accept that the prem is the 2nd best and not even best supported in the world and openly accept the WE (QPR)are a "work in progress". I played at a decent vaux Conf level so i think i may know how to play..only a little bit though bob !!

Can you look in the mirror and say the same....?

For the record i was a ST holder for @ 20 yrs until @ 3 years ago.moved away when we became good..so not a newbie glory hunter..

Maybe you need to cling on to the hope of some has been from the championship, Tarbs, Chopra, etc..but the facts are very clear...

"HE AINT DONE IT YET AND WE ARE ALL STILL WAITING 16 MONTHS LATER".....

Deal with your issues and come back when you grow up pal..........NEXT

Bob..i totaly agree with this post and said i'd lay off until 10 games, but fact is...those of us on the other side of the fence are told that Tarbs could walk into Barca ( & i will find the post if need be) but we have seen no evidence of that?
Of course it was not his fault..but..if you put your head above the parapit....

By the way..has anyone else noted that BigMc has gone from the most
sensational eloquant poster that ripped Swords..too a screaming girl......!! hahahahahaha

I knew he couldn't keep up the bullshit !!
