Anyone else think Porto selling Hulk means we won't be able to get Moutinho in January? I guess by then we'll probably know better what we need to be spending on and £24mill on a centre mid may not be a priority.

yep. i've been praying that he won't go to Zenit, but in theory he wont, for the same reason we won't get him.

then again, a part of me thinks that it's all talk with Porto and they will sell.

Hulk has gone to Zenit already, or did you mean Moutinho? I can't see them wanting him as they've signed Witsel too.
 
right, Royston Drenthe is a free agent.

I saw him a couple of times for Everton and thought he looked quite useful. I don't know much about him, but wikipedia says he's a winger/left back.

would he not potentially be a useful player for us, that could be worth a punt?

my concern is that he's only played 113 games in 7 years.

anyone know more about him? surely someone who's been at RM can't be too bad....

It's not that I don't appreciate what a great job Levy has done before this year, overall. And it's not even like I think we did so poorly, overall, in the transfer window. I think the manager Levy picked doesn't have the flexibility to bring out the best in the players we now have, and I lack any kind explanation for leaving the deal with Moutinho so late that it couldn't be done AND no substitute deal of any kind could be made. But, obviously, I'm hoping for the best.

don't know if this has been mentioned,but Ronaldo wants to leave Real,if this is the Case and we could afford it,as we have a link with Real,we should get first dibbs,surely?
