it comes to something when someone think's that having big crowds in th 40's and 50's,makes their club a big club.

It comes to something when someone think's that two seasons in the CL, makes their club a big club.

Oh sorry,is that too much history for you to deal with then.
The point was that I was pointing out that Chelsea HISTORICALLY do have a large fan base. I believe I have proved that. Sorry if it doesn't fit with you myth of us being a 'small' club.

Back on topic - it's no wonder that the USA is in such a mess when one of it's finest business minds allows the manager to shell out 35 million quid on a player that someone else then farms off to West Ham on loan.

And usually it's you having a go at us banging on about history. <whistle>

Anyway, we drew against Hearts at home to go through to the Europa League group stages. Can't wum about that surely? Looks like this year is our year. <ok>

I suspect that that is one of the major reasons that Kenny-boy got the boot. He simply did not have a clue.

I hate to burst your bubble...no I don't and I knew someone would be stupid enough to challenge it so here it is:

http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Attendances/0,,10794~634907,00.html

Do you see the top 10 "Highest Attendances" ?

Can you see these?

82,905 Chelsea v Arsenal 12/10/1935
77,696 Chelsea v Blackpool 16/10/1948
75,952 Chelsea v Arsenal 09/10/1937
75,043 Chelsea v Wolves 09/04/1954

So that's 4 of the top 10 league gates and they occur in the 30's,40's and 50's.

Please feel free to continue though :smiley-finger007: I didn't see you on that list, not even as the away team <wah>

Spurs Record attendance: 75,038 v Sunderland, 5 March 1938...see, anyone can pull up matches from the past.

I much prefer your own supporters take in the other link than your drivel, so here's another, while you're crowing about being so full up....plenty of room for everyone who went to these games! oddly enough during periods you say otherwise! <whistle> :D ... http://www.theshedend.com/topic/190...hat-was-chelseas-lowest-ever-home-attendance/

I tell you what, Clint Dempsey would have to be an absolute fool to leave Fulham for 'Pool, now that Berba has joined. He's got to be thinking that he'll grab an absolute hat-full of goals with Berba playing just behind him. Whereas, at 'Pool, there's every chance that he'll become just another donkey.

Looks like he's coming to you to get some service from Modric and VDV......

Please don't look on the Liverpool board, HIAG.
You may actually die of laughter.
