Sahin, Allen... Do people forget them or something? We have improved as a squad.. not regressed... In this transfer market we have simply lost some dead weight and ageing players (with all due respect to Maxi, Bellers and Kuyt), if these players stayed other fans would of just slated them anyways (cough Adam, cough Carroll).
So, looks like we are trying to get Dempsey at a cheap price in the knowledge that he only wants to join us and if Fulham don't sell to us they'll be stuck with a player that doesn't want to be their all year. I like this approach to be honest, too many times in the last few years we've caved in and paid the asking price instead of holding firm and looking out for number 1. Sturridge on loan with option to buy would have been excellent but seems that one has cooled off a bit. Hopeing there is still a forward being lined up as Dempsey is an attacking midfielders and not an out and out striker.

Ah right. You're one of those fans that only thinks a player is good if they can run past 5 players. You're probably a bit of an idiot and not too sure why I'm even given you a responce but let me try educate you. Football is a simple game. 11 players, 1 ball. It's quicker to pass the ball from 1 player to the next than it is to run from 1 part of the pitch to the other. It is also easier to pass the ball around a player rather than run through players. Watch Barcelona and you'll see exactly why they are the best team in the World. They pass the ball around teams and then have the players to finish the ball when they get into the penalty area. If you had 10 outfield players that can pass the ball around players and keep possession like Joe Allen can then you'll go a lot further than a team full of Nani's and Young's that try and run round 6 players.
