He supported Blackburn for Shearer while he was there too. Think it's more of a love for Shearer than caring for the clubs.
As for this rumour, I'd say it's unlikely, too much money, and he's too inconsistent. I'd want us to buy a younger, hard-working striker.
In theory, if Jose leaves we'll have another ã15m to spend. So we could spend that on Berbatov then still have more than enough money to get a winger, and a couple of defenders. I think he'd be a brilliant signing and still has plenty of years left in him. Certainly at least 3 very good years. It would also show Barton and the rest of the team that we are ambitous. Who knows if it's true but it'd be great.

One of my mates texted me.. about three days ago that ''NUFC were in talks with around TEN players'' ''3 of them are going to be free agents in the summer''.
That's my mate though, apparently he says he gets his info from one of his cousains who is involved/works at the club. I think the three that have expiring contracts are possibly Larsson, Elmander and ???

People are saying hes too old? Huh hes europes 6th top goal scorer? Id be happy for him to come for around 15-20Mill but cant see it happening. 28 games 6 as a sub and scored 21 league goals? to old? sorry but hes only guna get better in next 2 seasons with experience my view anyway.
The other out of contract one could be Taye Taiwo, good left back in case Jose goes.

Well he was right with Routledge and Willo. 95% of the time. Yes. Although he also said that it ''was initial talks and that further talks will continue through the following weeks''. DON'T count your chickens. He also said that we were going to sign Pav(from Spurs) in the Jan window(after Carroll left) but it was too late. Apparently we agreed a deal with Spurs and Pav was keen but there wasn't enough time and apparently we made a last-ditch bid for N'Zog, Carlton Cole(yes I know) and Andy Johnson(Fulham).

His game's not about pace anyway, and players are playing for longer these days I think he's got another 5 years in him.
Id like to see schennikov in a toon shirt but will never happen. or upfront Welliton. But then again i watch far to much russian football, A lot of talent there though which go un-noticed, then ppl are like wow when the european champs comes along and see them play, Need to scout russia, germany and argentina more, i coud name 30+ future stars we could look at but guess newcastle doesnt like to travel

But after those 5 years he has no remaining value, so he'd be costing us a lot, even excluding wages, with no return other than what he puts in on the pitch. ã18m is far too much, in my opinion.
