Current thinking is the offer has been accepted and made very public so that Liverpool will make an offer. Apparently he has no intention of going to Villa

Jones is very good at what he does, and that being battering centre-halves and dominating with his aerial presence, but he's also painfully one dimensional and another one who spends half his time on the treatment table. He can be devastating on his day, but they are few and far between so a definite "no thanks" from me as well

I think we need a striker and then we're shaping up nicely. Hughtons done a lot of work with the defence this window, obviously we proved last year our players can score at this level, but I just think we need another goal man. Not sure if Holty will be able to get up to the 15 mark again, and I'm almost certain Morison won't get 10 again.

cameron jerome linked as well now. so thats two stoke strikers... i'd prefer jerome, though i don't really rate him either, but these are not the kind of strikers i'd like to see here if i'm being honest. i think we need someone with a bit of pace. jerome isn't slow but he's better with his back to goal

...so can many players. unfortunately, he's not very good 95% of the time.

I doubt you have the time or the proper mathematical formula to allow you to accurately calculate that kind of percentage supers :/. But I understand, you don't want Kenwyne Jones.

If it makes you feel better I wouldn't be over the moon about it myself. I just think he could be useful.
