    The longer Arsenal are in, the better for you, Liverpool, Newcastle and even Everton. I fancy all the English teams in both Europa and CL to get out the groups they are in irrespective of the sides they put out

    Got to love the Sky Sports transfer watch..... thing. First announce that Fat Sam has given up in trying to sign Andy 'Cows Arse Banjo' Carroll. Then an hour later announce they have a source that tells them Carroll is close to completing a move to ....... West Ham on loan. Journalism - Alcohol and guess work is all you need for a career in the this field!

    I just hope that they're not clearing the floor for Llorente.

    Surely they can't afford him. Isn't this the same club that balked at Sigurdsson's costs? I seem to remember a Liverpool fan telling me that they had next to no money for transfers and they've already signed a few.

  6. I was reading a thread on the Gooners' board in which the Gooners are getting exciting at the prospect of who the might sign at the 11th hour. Their thinking is that because stingy Whinger hasn't yet spent any big money in the transfer window that a big signing is on the cards. They don't seem to have contemplated the fact that all of their business has been done and that their greedy octogenarian owners have pocketed all the money made on the RvP debacle. The following comment, by one particularly hapless and overly-optimistic Gooner had me laughing out loud:-

    <laugh>

    I rather suspect that if "Santa" does turn up in the next 24 hours, pal, he'll be leaving you a gift-wrapped turd with a note stuck to it, saying "next time, don't let your one-man team leave, you ****wits!"

    I'm thinking of putting this quote in my sig, but I'll wait until the transfer window closes.

    One less thug in the Premier League? Sky reporting that Nigel De Jong is off to AC Milan for contract talks. Opposition Players rib cages are one step closer to being safe.

    So all four teams are the champions of their respective league...whatever next! <whistle>...something seems cock-eyed with the seeding/co-efficient system there. Ironically this is supposed to be how the comp should work by name, but as we know it rarely is.

    Charlie Adam is going to Stoke. I don't think it's even worth taking a team to play them, it's got injuries written all over playing them.
