Of course he does but do you really think he's having a medical in Milan? It would be like a Southampton player having a medical in Leicester, just seems bizarre.
Edward Piñón, editor of respected Uruguayan paper El PaÃs, says there is surprisingly still a chance of Gastón RamÃrez moving to Liverpool.
Imagine he's just going along the lines of what the Italian press say. There's zero chance. He's either a Saint, or he stays at Bologna - that's as simple as it is now.
Rumour that Liverpool offered to take him on loan for initial fee of 5m euros with option to buy at end of season for 10m extra.
Which is bollocks. The reason this deal has taken so long for us to complete is that Bologna wanted loads of money up front, and we tried to pay in installments, plus Peranol wanted a fair share of cash. It's either us or Bologna who'll have him come Saturday.
Daniele Labanti of Corriere di Bologna says he believes that Bologna just want to sell him now, and the meeting is as I said, to sign the papers. Meeting will be attended by the GM of Bologna.
Was just reporting what the Uruguayan paper said. That doesn't mean I believe it! I don't, I'm fully confident he'll be a Saint shortly.....ish.
@Mousse81: #Ramirez update: "now or never" meeting Bologna-Southampton at 4pm in Italy. Waiting to be official. Instead, Floccari said no to Bologna. @tcumner1986: @Mousse81 is this just the formality of signing the paperwork? @Mousse81: @tcumner1986 I suppose so..... @Mousse81: @tcumner1986 I still have doubt, but they are personal doubt. Would be surprising if the deal will not be closed this afternoon
