    Barcelona have agreed loan deals with us, Spurs and Schalke for Afellay, apparently up to him to choose now. Do we want him?

    Yes, this will allow Borini to play through the middle for me and can now have any one of Suarez, Assaidi, Afellay, Sterling, Gerrard playing on either side. <ok>

    Do we have any buy clauses on these loan deals? If we like Sahin or Af, can we buy them for set amount or will we be held hostage to pay outlandish fees or they go back to Spain?

    Think Af will pick us over clubs with CL this season?

    In his interview BR said he persuaded him to join us. I doubt Wenger would persue Sahin for 2 months only to then pull out because he suddenly realised he wasn't a CDM, that would be pretty thick...

    Definately, no wage disparity to take into account so just a pure footballing choice. Does he want to play with Defoe and Livermore or Suarez and Sahin

    Doh! That's right! keep thinking Spurs finished fourth.

    OK... despite couple of bad seasons think we should, all else being equal, have more pulling power than Spurs.

    As for why Sahin might overlook Cl but Afellay might not... age and establishment. af is in his peak years... Sahin is still young.

    Bit you're right... Spurs arnt Cl either.

    Real Madrid sign Thomas Graveson because they thought he was this awesome player, but was actually completely different.


    Btw, how do you pronoune Sahin.

    I have been saying in like 'sar-hin'.

    But on MOTD I am pretty sure they said it like 'Shaheen'.
