Appeared to have taken their foot off the gas for the last 3rd of the game! There I was, waiting for a cricket score after JWM's bollox about US needing a scoreboard that copes with double figures!

If it had been a week earlier that "fookin budgie" would have been me as I was visiting mates in Blackpool and would have gone to the game with them.

Thing is girls, we lost to a side that will definately be in the top 2 of our division and it could have quite easily been 1-1 at half time, you guys lost to nothing more than a mid-table side.

Anyway compared to your points last year against the sides you have played, how's the improvement going?

problem is carra, we did have a good first 44 mins, it was 46 after that was a bloody nightmare!
still better than having a **** full 90 against fulham!

didn't say that C-Rud, i just it was better to play well for 44 mins then to play **** for the full 90! can't see how hard that is to understand?
Read that back to yourself and think about it. You think you'll get anymore positives out of that game than we did against Fulham? Of course not. You lost 6-0 while we lost 5-0, it makes no odds how well either of us played for any amount of time. Oh my goodness!
problem is C-Rud, sometimes you can shrug your shoulders when you lose to a top of the table club in the division you are in whether its prem, championship, 1st or 2nd and say, you know what they are so much better than us, fair play.
But when you get stuffed by nothing more than a mid table side in the division you are in whether it is prem, champsionship, 1st or 2nd, you don't shrug your shoulders, you should be looking to ring the alarm bells.

Cobblers if you have a good period and lose 5-0 or 6-0 it doesn't matter its appalling either way.

Guru, if you want to console yourself with the fact we apparently lost to a mid-table PL team as opposed to a PL team that could not survive the first season then good luck to you

TBH Thai, to me, saturday was a case when you just shrug your shoulders and say these things happen, like i have said it could have easily been 1-1 at half time but for a fantastic save by Gilks, and Olly himself said we were the best side they have faced (not saying alot at this point in the season) but he said they couldn't have complained if they were level at half time. Olly will be taking them up this season if he can hold on to his players, Tom Ince for me is the best player i have seen in the championship for a good few years and totally destroyed us.
Exactly Guru, it happens. We lost 6-1 to Man City, effectively in the last 20 minutes. The fact the team did incredibly well for the first 70 minutes was no scant consolation. Blackpool are certainly one of the better teams in the Championship but I am not sure if they will go up or not, perhaps play offs but who knows. What I would suggest though is that they are not 6 goals better than Ipswich on a typical day, same as Fulham are not 5 goals better than Norwich on a typical day
